Jan 6 committee has determined Trump committed crimes
The Jan. 6 select committee says its evidence has shown that then-President Donald Trump and his campaign tried to illegally obstruct Congress’ counting of electoral votes and “engaged in a criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States.”
In a major release of its findings, filed in federal court late Wednesday, the committee suggested its evidence supported findings that Trump himself violated multiple laws by attempting to prevent Congress from certifying his defeat.

52. if he won't do it, he should be impeached.
enough already. This is dangerous; the longer he relaxes at Mar A Guano, the more likely he gets away with it.

54. It's been 14 months. We have ironclad video evidence of the crime.
Another month to get the paperwork together. Then get it going to trial.

It's way past time. Respectfully? Garland looked lackluster at the SOTU address when President Joe directed attention to him.
At least LOOK enthusiastic hey Garland? I sure hope the fix isn't in. Times a waste'in.
He sure was animated at his once in 13 month brow beating of the American people though....who pay his salary BTW.
It's getting ridiculous imho.

58. Garland does serve at the pleasure of President Biden
Of course Biden doesn't want to, or even be seen as wanting to, interfere with DoJ operations, but he certainly has the right to be briefed by Garland about progress of the Jan 6 rioter cases or about Garland's current priorities at DoJ. Garland was nominated presumably because he was a good fit for the direction Biden wanted at DoJ, but if that has changed, then Biden has the right to ask for Garland's resignation.

56. The whole idea is to MAKE NOISE!!!!!
Rattle the cages of your Senators and Congressmembers and demand that they...
- look into this!
- push Garland to come up with something meaningful and/or significant. You've been at this for a year or so already? Anything???
- insist these bastards be PREVENTED from getting away with it - from trump on down. Demand it of anyone who'll listen.
- write a letter-to-the-editor of your local paper. Or whatever paper. But I've learned it might be easier to get printed in a local rag.
- if you have some sort of distinction in your home turf, offer to write an editorial.
- if there's an opportunity, how 'bout your local leaders/councilmembers/aldermen/county supervisors? Make noise! Don't let this die!
If noise is starting about whatever-topic-it-is, it's gonna start getting, and generating, attention. You WANT people talking about it. I'm old enough to remember Nancy Reagan warning soon-to-be-EX-chief of staff to her husband Ronnie, "people are talking."
Yeah?
Yeah. She knew it because she was busy dropping little hits and hints in strategic places and it started piling up against Regan's door. They soon were no longer on speaking terms, and he even hung up on her! His prestigious and powerful White House employment was doomed to be a thing of the past. If Nancy didn't like you, you eventually joined the walking dead.

It was palace intrigue on Pennsylvania Avenue during that regime. Nancy was the power behind the throne.

What will they use as an excuse to not indict him???

17. The guy charged with seditious conspiracy
in the Oath Keepers also pleaded guilty.
Contact your Reps and Senators tomorrow and demand Merrick Garland indict Trump for seditious conspiracy and other crimes.
If Trump and his seditious supporters are not held accountable, this country is over.

27. The select committee has no authority
to indict anyone let alone convict. Does it matter what this judge decides? I'm sure Eastman will keep appealing until after the election.
DOJ could get the emails a lot quicker if it wanted.
One thing about it, the select committee is going to put on quite the show, hopefully in prime time, to show the country all of the crimes that Trump and his cronies could have been convicted of.

47. Here's what's behind the timing......IMHO
The January 6th Committee knows that if the Republicans regain the House it will be disbanded. They are laying the groundwork to send criminal referrals to DOJ backed up with their good faith beliefs and findings to give DOJ enough to follow thru. A Republican house can't touch Biden’s DOJ.

67. Is this the REFERRAL we have been
waiting for ? I think trump (and other higher ups) will have to confess to all crimes in writing and video for anything will happen. He will probably have to walk himself into prison.

:jerkit: If Garland attempted prosecution Trump's lawyers would club him and his persecution team like baby seals. :jerkit:

'Suggested its evidence supported findings'...
Gotta laugh.
Case dismissed.
-
Because someone has to say it...
...how many business hours until he is frog-marched out of Mara-Lago?

From the DUmp linked article, down further than they would bother reading..
The committee suggests Trump and some of his allies may have committed three distinct crimes: Obstruction of an official proceeding — in this case, Congress’ Jan 6 session to count electoral votes — defrauding the United States by interfering in the election certification and spreading false information about the results, and a violation of the District of Columbia’s common fraud law.
Emphasis mine. Suggestions and may haves do not equal guilt or evidence beyond a shadow of a doubt. Maybe, just maybe if there had not been years of poor and failed attempts to litigate Trump, before the election, during his presidency and continuing after his presidency, this might carry more weight.

Since when did the legislature become triers of fact?

And yet not a single time did Nancy have to lead President Ronald Regan around by the hand to keep him from getting lost in the bushes or hold him upright.

Probably from embarrassment from being associated with this disaster of a presidency.

Since when did the legislature become triers of fact?
In my experience, legislators aren't even adequate at UNCOVERING facts. It goes without saying that these low IQ con artists - populating "both" parties - are wholely unequipped for the task of evaluating the validity of same.

They are not. They are wasters of money. That is it. They have ZERO say over private citizens.

They keep hoping something will save them from the upcoming midterm slaughter. Nothing will. Slo Joe didn’t even mention Jan 6th in his SOTU mumble.
Gas prices.
Food prices.
Inflation.
Weak leadership on the world stage.
Dems aren’t going to overcome any of this.
