Why are we not sanctioning Russian oil??

Because we are afraid of the political implications of higher gasoline prices? If NATO is unwilling to secure airspace over Ukraine due to nuclear threats, we need to at least empty our economic toolbox and do anything possible to cripple Putin. Oil is where he gets his money. These are war crimes, watching democracy die in Ukraine without doing everything possible short of actually fighting a war is unacceptable for the United States.

Biden suspends oil and gas leasing in slew of executive actions on climate change

President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed a series of executive orders that prioritize climate change across all levels of government and put the U.S. on track to curb planet-warming carbon emissions.

Biden’s orders direct the secretary of the Interior Department to halt new oil and natural gas leases on public lands and waters, and begin a thorough review of existing permits for fossil fuel development.

The series of actions kick off the president’s agenda to reduce the country’s emissions and establish stricter targets under the Paris climate accord.

How President Biden’s Executive Orders Impact The Oil Industry

On his second day in office, President Biden signed Executive Order on Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis. The biggest takeaway from the Executive Order was the cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline permit. The project had been rejected by President Obama in late 2015, fast-tracked by President Trump in 2017, and now once more rejected by President Biden in 2021.

Biden pauses new oil and gas leases amid legal battle over cost of climate change

The Biden administration is delaying decisions on new oil and gas leases and permits after a Louisiana federal judge blocked officials from using higher cost estimates of climate change.

The leasing pause is an unintended result of the Feb. 11 decision by U.S. District Judge James Cain, who argued that the administration’s attempt to raise the real cost of climate change would hike energy costs.

The ruling has prompted delays and uncertainty across at least four federal agencies that were using higher cost estimates of greenhouse gas emissions in decisions.

I could go on and on and on.  This is too easy.  Wonder if any DUmmies would care to come debate with us about WHY gas prices are high in the first place?  He not only canceled new leases on drilling, they have canceled some existing leases as well.

This all caused Biden to increase our purchase of oil from Russia by twofold.  And it caused the price of gas to rise, predictably.

All of this and the DUmmies want to blame the rising cost of gas on the war in Ukraine?  Really?  All of that was done in weeks of Biden taking office and you didn't think it would affect you?  Nilla, please.

Brandon restored US' dependence on foreign oil, a gift to Russia's economy.

5. You know why.

It already looks bad for November, if you want the fascists to absolutely obliterate us in the midterms go ahead and let people see six and seven dollars a gallon for gas. Forget about it.

People don’t understand geopolitics and economics but they do know the prices of the things they’re paying for. As stupid as it may be, the President and the party are being blamed.

This simpleminded primitive just told us 2 major liberal truths.

First, dead Ukrainians are unimportant compared to winning elections.

Second, this primitive hasn’t a clue regarding geopolitics and economics.

fixed for accuracy

I consider anyone who voted for brandon, any democrat candidate or assisted in the ballot counting misconduct to be complicit in what is going on in Ukraine right now.

Dumbest answer to that question that I heard today:  " Because Biden is going to seize every Russian oil-tanker when it arrives anyway, so we're getting it for free. "

It must've been on Fox... a guest defending Psaki.

Question for you DUmbasses, why did he shut down our production? Don't give me this shit about Keystone not being in operation. It BEING in production impacted price because oil is a speculative commodity. He ALSO shut down all fracking on public lands. Hate to break it to you but Psaki is lying to you. Problem is, you're stupid enough to believe her lies. Those leases not in use she's talking about? Picture an open field. That's it. Nothing on it. Takes some time to get the equipment built, it drilled, capped, etc. and into the market. A LOT of time. Not to mention, those fields may not yield a single barrel so that is MAJOR speculation and costs the oil company a ton of money just to find out. You idiots think they just have a bunch of fields ready and the only thing preventing the oil flowing is them flipping a valve to turn it on. My God, they love the stupidity of you leftists. It's why so many shitholes are still being ran by Democrats....your stupidity.

So, why do we close our production down KNOWING we have to get it elsewhere? All you green idiots do know it's gonna get extracted somewhere on earth, right? You're all about "the globe" right? So what the hell does it matter where it's drilled? Not to mention, due to liberal policies here, we extract it MUCH cleaner than Russia, the Middle East, etc. So, serious question, why are you idiots opposed to drilling it here? Is it NIMBYism? I'm kinda damn tired of paying 3.70 per gallon.

Over $5.00 a gallon in California

And brandon's shutting down our energy production did far more to benefit putin than anything the left accuses Trump of doing for Russia

Not to mention they impeached him over holding money from Ukraine when Biden is on RECORD doing the same thing, but proven.

Here’s something that makes no sense. They all say they’re for the New Green Deal type stuff, and how many times have we heard them say our gas should cost much more than we pay.

Why are the DUmmies not fully, 100% behind this?  They’re all running from it when I think they should make it part of their campaign commercials.

Come on libs, be a xe and stand up for what you believe!
