Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland are, as of 1999.
As horrific as the current situation is, it would be very dangerous for the US or any Nato nation to enter into a war defending a non-Nato country such as Ukraine.

Dear stupid Dawson McQueerly,
In 1945, the Soviets had 2.3 million sets of boots pointed in the direction of Berlin, and many more than that standing between the Allied armies and Moscow. The Allies, under the direction of FDR and then Truman, were not even interested in taking Berlin thus allowing the Soviets to have that honor.
Three Soviet Armies attacking Berlin had 6,250 tanks, 7,500 aircraft, 41,600 artillery pieces and mortars, 3,255 truck-mounted Katyusha rocket launchers, and 95,383 motor vehicles, many manufactured in the USA. In the three weeks of the final push to Berlin the Soviets lost at least 80,000 killed.
Three Allied fronts totaled more men 4,500,000 spread out over Germany 17,000 tanks 28,000 combat aircraft 63,000 artillery pieces, 970,000 vehicles. While it certainly would have been possible for the Allies to push west to Moscow, it would have been very costly and even stupid people capable of reading the results of Napoleon's and more recently Hitler's attempt would quickly see the folly in such an adventure.
It is funny how the stupid democrats have this sudden love affair with military power in general, US military power in particular. What about "giving peace a chance?" A good question to ask is "If the Allies had marched all the way to Moscow in 1945, where would Sen. Bernie Sanders spent his honeymoon?"
Add that to the love affair that Democrats had up until just a few minutes ago with Communism and you get the answer as to why we let the Soviets have just about everything east of Berlin.

The NATO allies that have been associated with the U.S. long before 1999 no longer consider us trustworthy after Brandon's Afghanistan debacle unconditional surrender and retreat followed by abandonment of our own people. :mad:

For weeks, DU has been lavishing praise on Biden for his "decades of foreign policy expertise".
What they failed to realize is, just because someone has been doing something for a long time doesn't mean they're good at it.

It took 5 months in 1991 to build up for the attack on Iraqi forces occupying little tiny Kuwait. Iraq is a fraction of the size of Russia, and Saddam's military a fraction of the Russians'. Get ****ing real!

Maybe if Obama hadn't gutted our military, not maintaining weapons and vehicles, and the D's in Congress hadn't fought Trump tooth and nail to get our military up to readiness, that may have been an option. But when too many people want a woke military experiment instead of people ready and willing to kill and die for our country, you get the inability to respond quickly to such situations. And that is before actually looking at the repercussions, the costs (human and financial), the political fallout, ect.
