Would Putin have invaded Ukraine if not for January 6th?
Trump and his followers attacked the United States from within on that day. Can anyone doubt Putin had out the good Champagne when that happened? The whole Trump Presidency was a windfall for Putin, but January 6th was the icing on the cake.

I think November 3rd did far more to green light Putin's aggressive tendencies. Maybe the morning hours of November 4th, more accurately said...

I suppose under that calculus, we should be grateful he's not fixing to goose-step his way into Paris...

Yep, Putin knew it was safe to try to take another chunk off Ukraine because of 1/20/2021.

He knew that long ago, when 0bama assured him that once he was free of consequences, he could be "more flexible." (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/weekly-standard/obama-to-russia-after-my-election-i-have-more-flexibility)
