Joe should hit Putin where it really hurts, in his Oil and Natural gas business.
I would drill for natural gas like never before. And maybe release some of our strategic oil reserves. That is the War that I would favor. Finish Russia for good. JMO.

4. Barring a massive expansion of nuclear power in Europe, Russian gas exports will not be cut off.
Germany is the nation most dependent on Russian natural gas. This is a direct consequence of their anti-nuclear policies and failed renewable energy schemes.
Germany's major industries are still powered by coal. Nuclear France closed its last coal mine twenty years ago.
France still imports Russian natural gas and this was a consequence of France's own acceptance of hybrid natural gas / renewable energy schemes which can produce electricity for less than the monetary cost of nuclear power whenever natural gas is inexpensive, the wind is blowing, and the sun is shining. But these hybrid power systems come with greater environmental costs than nuclear, most especially greenhouse gas emissions. They have high political costs as well, as Germany is learning.
Gas is by far the most dangerous fuel in common use. It will destroy whatever is left of the natural environment as we know it, and likely this civilization as well.
It's best we leave it in the ground.

9. How does drilling for natural gas impact Putin?
The issue is delivery to Western Europe.

:thatsright: Is he talking about a Joe Biden from a perpendicular alternate universe who did not do everything legal (and some illegal) to limit and hobble US oil and NG drilling and production?
:thatsright: Is he talking about a Joe Biden from a perpendicular alternate universe who did not greenlight Russia's Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline, which would increase (double?) Russia's NG delivery capacity to EuroLand and increase EuroLand's dependence on Russia?

If you love Slo Joe so much, why cut him off from one of his most lucrative buddies?

First move, approve Nord Stream 1. pipeline That will show Putin. He could also stop our own oil and gas production and shutdown our own pipelines. Other ideas would be to triple the price of a barrel of oil. All of these would show Putin that the USA under an American hating junta means business.

Maybe he could extort a board of director's position for Hunter out of Putin's oil & gas bid'ness? After all, it worked wonders for Burisma in Ukraine...

But first he needs his son to give back the 10 million $$ the mayor of Moscow gave him.
