A very nice lady I worked with passed away
over the weekend. She was out for months with a health issue. A foot ailment of some kind. It wouldn’t heal and the doctors couldn’t say what the problem was for a long time. The work place has been pretty stressful for some time, even b4 the pandemic. We work hard ok? Another co-worker lady, after hearing the sad news was quite upset and took 2 days off. She was back today. We are both sad and upset about the whole thing. Wanting to blame someone. I told her it’s this ****ing Reaganomics society.
I hope she passed peacefully, and her family can also find peace. She was a few years younger than me.
Not much of a thread, but the initial megga-stupid caught my eye

Reaganomics is not very good at killing people. It took 30+ years to kill her co-worker.

6. People you work with can become your second family. They become a part of our balance of life.
And when something happens to one of them it causes that balance to be off-kilter and that's a truly sucky feeling all the way around.
Translation: Don't make DU your second family. Your emotional myopia is potentially threatening to our festive, low-IQ banter.

I think what killed this nice lady was 8 years of Willie and 8 years of the Bamster.

Threads such as this make me wonder how Omaha Steve made it through Reaganomics. Speaking of him, I thought he was dying about 5-7 years ago.

Based on the minimal info on the DU OP, my WAG is that the co-worker had advanced diabetes and died of an infection that just would not heal (plus or minus diabetic neuropathy). Type 1 Diabetes is something one is born with, and Type 2 is caused by lack of knife-fork-and-spoon-control. Either way, Star Moron BootinUp is projecting his/her hatred onto an irrelevant object of hatred. As fatboy pointed out, OhBummer!Don'tCare would have been more relevant.
