Sticker shock
Shopping today and the past week in Chicago my impression is people are shocked at prices.
Many seemed like they were dazed. In multiple stores lots of people with half-full carts slowly picked among and put back meats and other products doubled in price.
To make matters worse, lots of items are out of stock. Random empty shelves in different stores—not all out of the same products like when there was a bleach shortage for instance.
Normally stores are fully stocked to sell as much as possible with known higher first-of-the-month demand. Today they weren’t.
As I wrapped up my rounds I went to a local independent store for the Townhouse crackers I couldn’t find. They had the crackers along with a sign for 36 rolls of TP for $29.99 (!!!).
It all made me think about all those who reject voting because they don’t think it matters. Not sure what it’s going to take before they understand it does.
Ok, I'm really confused here ... the DUmmie knows their guy won, right?! Has been in office for over a year and none of this was happening before the election, right? Wow.

Now I get it. It is all part of the plan to force stupid Americans to spend their money better, wiser. :lmao:

12. Yes, as if prices under the former guy, who bungled the pandemic, would be lower.
And IMO, there's some price gouging going on in places in the supply chain.
Packs of tp rolls which use to be in the $15.00 range are now $29.00. Something is definitely up.

Corporations are using this to jack up prices. They profit, and make Biden look bad. Win win for them. Some things are out of hand. This whole 'worker shortage' thing is becoming suspect too. Maybe in hospitals, but....

18. So true about making Biden look bad. Same with FOX and right wing media everywhere...
being anti-mask and anti-vaxx so people die and the pandemic continues...then Biden is blamed for that too. They don't even care if their own voters die from not getting vaxxed.
And Carlson and all of the on-air liars all have to be vaxxed to even get into their headquarters to spew their lies on the air.
All the corporations have gotten together to raise prices just so Biden will look bad. Brilliant!!
The stupid over there never stops and it's particularly bad when it comes to economics.

Not one DUmmie connected the braincell to realize that skyrocketing fuel prices are baked into the cake of each and every price. Joe did that on day one.

Let's go Brandon!
To put it another way.

Actually you are missing the objective here. This is a brilliant plan by our brain addled president to make people eat less, therefore losing weight and getting healthier. :lmao:

Here's the appropriate sticker:

Must not be too much of a shock to them yet, since there's no mention of the blundering, plundering proggie-policies which are causing this to occur.
But that time is coming fast. If not sticker-shock, it'll also be 'product-size' shock. Virtually zero clear-plastic packaging now, so you can't see how little you're getting.

So, corporations raise prices just to make Biden look bad? I guess that means that the ebil corporations will lower prices if Trump wins in 2024, right?
Now I have yet another reason to vote for Trump.
It's "in my own best interest" after all. :naughty:
