Slow Joe screws up again and the DUmmies give him yet another pass.

Free N95 masks. My wife picked up our six free N95 masks at the grocery store pharmacy
last week. I had a doctors appointment this morning for routine blood tests, so we opened them and put them on. It appears they are made for smaller heads/faces than mine. I could not keep it under my chin, and my glasses fogged badly. My wife was uncomfortable, but not having as much trouble as I did.
I was still struggling in the examination room when the nurse came in and asked about my current problems. “Just this,” I said, pointing to the mask. She said she’d get me another mask. I expected a surgical mask like she was wearing. Instead, she came back with a KN95. It was a little larger and had straps that went around the ears, rather than over the head. Very comfortable. Problem solved.
Is anyone else having problems with the free masks?

1. Yes.
No one around here has any!

5. No one I know in OK has gotten a single mask from anywhere.
I called 10 different pharmacies/stores mentioned in the news would be handing them out and they said they don't have any. I went in person to a few, they looked at me like I was from another planet. So IF anyone in the Tulsa area knows where I can get them please let me know.
I ordered my test kits the first day they were available. My BFF in Chicago did the same. He got his last week, we have none. Anyone from OK get their test kit yet?

6. I ordered my test kits the first day, too. Haven't received them in Iowa.
If Trump had said he was giving out free masks and tests the first bellyache would have been "why did it take so long!" The second issue is they don't seem to be getting them.
There would be no end to the bellyaching if this was Trump. Now, meh, no big deal.

I do wish they'd hurry up and get on with it...

Yes, if you read the package you will find they are made in Wuhan, China. for smaller folks. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Not possible.
Everyone died with the end of "Net Neutrality".

My employer has been providing masks for employees plus enough for some family members. They aren't N95 or KN95, but are ASTM F2100 Level 3, "surgical masks", made in Taiwan. The fit is OKish, partly because I have a largish nose and a beard, and sometimes my glasses fog.
Have any DU-folk noticed yet that their free test kits take a week or two to arrive, well past the time to be useful if their need is immediate? Have any DU-folk noticed yet that their free test kits get delivered into outdoor mailboxes, where the temperatures in colder climes are lower that the minimum storage temperatures for the kits (and possibly summer temps in warmer climes might be too high?)?
Bureaucrats are skilled at devising feel-good ideas that work poorly in real world conditions. LIEden's free tests and free masks programs are ivory-tower feel-good PR stunts.

In the never to be explained files for 20 years from now, why did you blithering idiots continue to wear masks when there is a negligible effect?

to show their never to be questioned obedience and blind loyalty to their government masters (as long as the democrats are in power)

what is wrong with these people... they are completely wound up over 2 bucks worth of free masks. who gives a damn?
can you imagine sitting around and taking the time to "call 10 different places" to try finding a free mask?
buncha damned psychos.

They think it's a LIEden accomplishment. It takes a gaggle of ignorant bureaucrats and a clue-free politician or three to imagine that one-size-fits-all works with surgical or (K)N95 masks.
I wonder how many worked up DUmmies went around for a year and a half, proudly sporting their utterly ineffective sew-it-yourself and fashion-statement cloth masks and now, suddenly, are on the must-be-(K)N95 bandwagon.

That's because the whole mask thing has been a lie from the beginning. Now they're being told a half truth. They're being told to wear the N95's (or better), but they're not being told what a fit test is and why you need it. Hell, I've seen a lot of them talk about their mask nazi'ism, and later you find out the poster has a full beard. LOL
Nothing like wearing a piece of fabric over your face that does nothing to show everyone how much 'you care.'
As to the second part of your post it was amazing to me how many of them came out saying they wouldn't give up their cloth masks, then the other side of them saying "I've been wearing nothing but N95's the whole time" to show just how superior they are to the other DUmmies.
PPE is great stuff, but there's a reason they have classes on how to use a lot of it, or you have to demonstrate proficiency with the PPE. I was in a plant last year that made us demonstrate we knew how to use our body harnesses and lanyards by climbing a scaffold outside, walking across a platform, and climbing down, while maintaining 100% tie off. Without that 'class' you couldn't enter the facility.

That N95s need to be fit-tested is another level of "Not common knowledge". But for family members working for a health care outfit that fit-tests masks for their nurses and aides, I doubt I'd know of it.
That generic hand-sewn or clothing company cloth masks are almost 100% useless has been known/knowable since spring 2020. My guess is that many/most (K)N95-only DU-folk knew that for quite a while, but didn't want to go against "The Science" spokesmouths and DU-virtue-signalers who pushed for such fashion statements (after three months of saying that healthy people should NOT use masks).

And you're absolutely correct about this. I hadn't considered this angle, the amount of time they're wasting trying to save a couple of dollars, not to mention gas they're using driving around looking for 'free' stuff. I've never bought a mask, so I didn't consider the cost.

The california mask mandate which was extended an additional month in January and is supposed to end mid February.
With the recent pictures that surfaced of governor newscum and the mayors of LA and SF maskless at Sunday's football game, I'm curious if the state will dare to extend it past the mid February date.

I like how Gavin blew it off as a "I only did it for the picture" type thing, when there is video of him walking all over the place without it.
He's a dumb ass.

It wasn't just to get a picture with Magic.
He was seen in his seat without a mask over his face surrounded by others in his luxury box without masks.
It is dangling from one ear so I guess in his logic he was "wearing" a mask

They are all hypocritical bastards, as far as I'm concerned.
I'm glad I've never had to mess with that. While we had one VERY short span where mask mandates hit the ground here, it didn't last long and no one was willing to enforce it.

Same here, it is nice to live in a free state.
Just thinking about it, I probably haven't worn a mask since I used an Uber in late November/early December. But the driver wasn't wearing his and immediately told me I could take mine off. People are relatively sane here. If I hazard a guess from my last visit to the major grocery store here, maybe 10-15% of the folks were wearing one. The employees haven't worn them since our Governor lifted the temp mask mandate about 16 months ago.

Family dollar was requiring vendors to wear them in the store. Pissed off and belligerent at this, I did some shopping at www.fakemaskworldwide.com (http://www.fakemaskworldwide.com) they couldn't do anything about it. We had some minor pushback at 2 state parks but that's been the worst of it. They have a new surgical style one that looks fantastic. They really know their audience
