The disgraced ex-President has no other option but to pretend he is running again in 2024.

It keeps up the spirits of his MAGA followers.

It keeps his stream of revenue coming in.

It keeps the media talking about him.

But, most of all, he thinks it protects him from criminal indictment.

Once he is charged, his presidential ambitions will disappear like a puff of smoke.

7. No. He is running scared from the sword of justice, it's obvious.

The power he pretends to have is an illusion. Twitter was all he had to propagandize, now he got these lame rallies where the media mainly just mocks him and his maga army of geriatrics with a Twitter machine.

His brownshirts are in jail, his chief advisor under indictment, soon his chief coup strategist, the subpoena machine copier is overheating, more to come……imagine that happening in 1930s Germany…they had the chance and didn’t take it. America did and will continue to do justice to democracy.

2. I don't think he's just pretending to run

I believe he will run. I don't think he can win, but I'm not so sure.

13. Yep, I think the same, that he will run. It's in him and he really has nothing to lose, and his loony fans give him the attention he craves as leader of the cult. I certainly hope he could not win, but the US is filled with crazies and assholes, power grabbers and politicians who want to go for a ride which does add uncertainty ...

3. Very astute point

I would go so far as to say that the #1 mission of our criminal justice system at this very moment is to ensure that Trump never runs for public office again. What taint to his standing can the Congress place upon him (for instance, censure) that would prevent him from being able to run? Is criminal indictment enough?

6. Not sure about that. What 2020 showed was a very ugly face of American that has been around since

its inception, through the Civil War, through the Civil Rights movement, and is currently in a resurgence today.

9. Trump wants to run again because politics was the best grift he ever found.

Real estate fraud pales in comparison. Additionally, the presidency gave him immunity from prosecution. He realizes the walls are closing in, so the sooner he launches his '24 campaign, the more plausible his claims of "political persecution by the Biden administration" will seem to his gullible followers, and his fellow travelers in government and media.

24. I've been watching this guy from fairly close up for 40 years. IMHO, he is a

corruption shark. He needs to keep moving forward, shitting on the rest of us and ruining everything around him, to survive. He will do anything he needs to do to win, up to and including ruining the United States of America. We have seen that in action.

Neither of us knows though. Only time will tell.

35. as a puppet of Putin

the ruination of our democracy is a goal, I'm sure. Why the so-called MSM won't search out this connection more and really never did, I just don't understand. With the sexual pervert/predator that TPOSFG is, it seems to me very plausible trump did some things in Russia that can help hang this POS.

38. I think he will try to run even if indicted, but indictment will cause many donors to bail

Trump’s indictment will be the turning point for the GOP to shift to supporting DeSantis, especially if the big GOP donors shift to him first.

41. I suspect that the day an indictment comes down

he declares "officially" that he is running and will immediately file a lawsuit to stop investigations on the basis that he's a candidate for president.

Doubt it will work, but that's my guess on what passes as a plan for him and his um, clown car of dumbasses.

53. He's like a boogeyman. I think we have to take his threat to run seriously.

Or he could spring back to life and this time, the US won't recover. Hell, we still might not fully recover from the untold damage he caused.

The disgraced ex-President has no other option but to pretend he is running again in 2024...

Why would Komrade Billy Jeff have to run for office again?

I mean, I know the Constitution means nothing to you ****wits, but there are constitutional prohibitions on Ex-Presidents who stand CONVICTED of felony purjury from taking office again.

To say nothing of the two-term limit itself...
