Tonight will be Palin's first national speech
she's blessed with low expectations. She's going to get terrific energy and feedback from the crowd, but can she deliver to those outside the hall? Will she attack Obama and/or Biden? How is she holding up under the pressure? It'll be interesting to see.

Raise the expectations. Palin is skilled with media. She has a degree in journalism / communications. One of her first jobs was as a TV anchor in Alaska. She knows what she is doing.

"Fargo" was a movie set in the Upper Midwest. After hearing Gov. Palin, it was the first thing I thought - "Fargo".
Marge Gunderson, the pregnant chief of police in Brainerd, Minnesota, was investigating the murder of three people near her city. You betcha sure!
It doesn't take much to seem to be smarter than Ted Kennedy. Ted has never been a mental giant. He has always had good handlers, though sometimes they couldn't save him either.

Ya know, if the LSM does succeed in getting enough idiots to vote for the Obamination, when he ****s up and gets millions of Americans killed in a terrorist attack (which will come no matter who wins, to see how the new president will respond), then ushers in a massive depression with all of the taxes that he's going to have to levy to pay for all of his social programs, the LSM becomes complicit in the misery. They will owe a debt to the American people, and I wouldn't be surprised if the American people started collecting that debt in the blood of major media figures.

I hear you. I would support treating the lib media figures the way they treat conservative pols. I would like to see a foundation set up to dig up dirt and look in every nook and cranny of these media people, publish all their dirty laundry, expose them and their families to what they do to others. I surprised it hasn't happened, but could see something like that come out of this.

I caught part of a speech on NPR the day McCain announced her choice. She has a very pleasant voice, a normal accent, put a lot of energy and vitality in her speech. I found her at least as pleasant as anyone I've ever listened to, and a lot more pleasant than most female voices on the radio - they seem to go "screechy" or "preachy" to me. She is definitely a great public speaker.
I can't compare her to Teddy, I've never listened to him.

i couldnt hear any accent whatsoever.. she looked very polished and poised to me. she has a commanding demeanor and if she was on the other side of the aisle, I would personally be terrified.
she also appears to be having a blast :cheersmate:
