Should Jim Jordan be subpoenaed to appear before the Committee?

Rep. Jim Jordan turned down a request from the Committee to appear before them to discuss what exactly he knew about January 6th and to inform them of what his phone calls with TFG were all about? It is reported that he is getting advice from the Trump team to ignore the Committee's request.

The Committee is left with little choice but to subpoena him. If he still refuses to talk, then they should make a criminal referral to the DOJ. No doubt, the Trump team will tell him to take it to court. Because that is what they do.

It is rather strange that committees of Congress can request or subpoena people like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to appear before them and be questioned for 10 to 12 hours continuously but the same folks in Congress are exempt from such questioning?

Does the debate loophole in the law protect Congressmen from testifying before the Congress? I would think the courts would say that must respond when there is a possible criminal act involved, much like Congressmen must appear before the Ethics Committee when they are charged with an ethics violation. Obviously, they are not totally exempt from oversight.

Is there any truth to the rumor I'm starting that Jordan's refusal letter ended with, "Bring it!"? :lmao:   :fuelfire:  :loser:

Funny, they thought ignoring subpoenas was perfectly OK when it was holder on the target end.
