I could scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This year I had my blended family over for Christmas Eve. Everyone was vaccinated and booster. Minus the grandchildren. Most of us did not wear masks but I felt safe. I just got a damn call that one of them who has tested positive for COVID and while I'm glad he informed us, I'm so pissed!!! He was exposed COVID and he was testing himself for COVID prior to coming to my home. I think he should have told us he was exposed to a COVID person. Am I wrong?!!
Oddly this morning I woke up with a sore throat headache and sinus issues

4. I am not at all concerned about exposure
but I am testing once every week or so anyway.
fully vaxxed and boosted (actually that was the last real chance of exposure... at the mass vax center for my booster shot).
Omicron is so transmissible that we will ALL be exposed to it sooner or later. Only thing we can do is be vaxxed and boosted and try to flatten the spike so that IF we are one of the unlucky few that do get a severe case, there will be hospital beds available with oxygen, etc for us.

I try not to get angry on those unvaxxed people but I do.

Now I have a question; why is Tickle angry at "those unvaxxed people"? Was there anything in Tickle's story to indicate an unvaccinated person infected anyone of them?
Oh, I know, science. It's hard. It's hard to accept the vaccinated are spreading COVID, just like the unvaccinated. Got it.

I've never seen a more risk averse group of people gathered together in one spot before the DUmp was created. Risk is everywhere and you mitigate what you can, but these loons think (like some safety people I've had come on my jobs) that you can mitigate to ZERO. That is not possible and still do anything.
It boggles the mind, truly.

I think they would be surprised to learn just how many of their fellow posters are unvaccinated, but are too terrified to admit it. That should tell DU members something. There's nothing on this board that I would be afraid to talk about as to a political ideology and I know there are a lot of us with differences. We seem to hammer them out and move on to the next discussion.

I think the primitive‘s biggest fear, is that omicron is the beginning of the end of the pandemic. The odds are nearly everyone will catch it, almost no one will die from it, and then herd immunity will kick in. I figure by this time next year, Covid will be nearly over. -Along with all the cash and prizes that go with it. DUmmies are going to need to find jobs again.

I have a question for the OP. Who cares? Really... who cares. You might have caught something that has a 98+% survival rate and that might not even exhibit symptoms. Do you fuss over the common cold like this?

So, the family member was exposed, was testing himself and was testing negative, but he should have worried his family with what was looking like a false alarm? He should have taken Armchair Hindsight 101 at Panic DUniversity!

Now Biden has allowed 3 new variants into the country (I don't blame him, but DUmmies would have blamed Trump), he's had more people die on his watch WITH 3 vaccines available. They keep moving the goal posts (much like the Trump administration due to varying circumstances and the learning curve), but somehow when Biden does stuff like tell the American people this doesn't need federal intervention yet STILL keeps the same stupid federal mandates in place, he's somehow brilliant!
It gets under my skin about how blind they are and how willing they are to be fascists.

Oh, I forgot to add; There is hardly enough testing/tests available. People are waiting in line for HOURS to get a test that, in some cases, they must have to live their life. IE; go on vacation, to a concert, work, etc..
PPE is running low.
People don't know whether to shit or go blind, and THAT is all stuff I DO blame on Biden!

I'm sure after covid, the next excuse to keep mail in voting going is by how much it saves the planet by voters not having to drive their carbon spewing beasts to the polling place when you can just drop your ballot (and any other ballots that were delivered to your house :wink:) into the mailbox while your car rests in the garage.

That’s when we point out how they were all clamoring to not only travel to a CoVid testing site, but wait literally HOURS in line to get tested.
