Hillary to step up campaigning against Palin
I was telling Digby that I hope Hillary will step up against Palin.
Mrs. Clinton’s friends said she was galled that Ms. Palin might try to capitalize on a movement that Mrs. Clinton, of New York, built among women in the primaries….Guy Cecil, the former political director of Mrs. Clinton’s campaign, said it was “insulting†for Republicans to compare Ms. Palin to Mrs. Clinton.
“It is insulting to compare Hillary’s lifetime of service and her commitment to progressive causes with that of a novice, right-wing governor,†Mr. Cecil said.
This should be interesting.

Two points illustrate the DUmmies' infinite stupidity. First, they simply cannot understand that The Beast desperately, frantically prays, to whatever false god Clintons use, for a McCain/Palin win. She will only go through the motions as required to maintain support. Nothing matters to a Clinton but a Clinton. Second, no normal person would ever utter the words "Hillary's lifetime of service".

But, at the same time, I'd like to bring up the premise that Hillary isn't as thrilled as we'd like her to be. Why? Because Hillary wanted to be the first female President, and Sarah Palin now threatens to throw a monkey wrench in the works. It's entirely possible that, if McCain wins (which I think he will), that he could say in 2011, "I'm not going to run for a second term," and we'd have Vice President Palin running against Senator Clinton the next year. The only certain thing out of that would be that the US would have a female President. If McCain loses to Obama, Palin becomes the front-runner for the Republican Party in 2012, and Hillary sits on the sidelines, because she sure as all Hell will not get the nod in 2012. If Obama were to govern as we all fear, Palin wins the Presidency in 2012 (and with the Dems defending 24 of the 33 Senate seats up for reelection that year, we could get a fillibuster-proof Senate), and is the incumbent in 2016 with all of the advantages of incumbancy, when Hillary is too old to run.
So, maybe Hillary is pulling for Sarah Palin after all.

Just a few weeks ago they were arguing how Clinton was undermining B. Hussein, and now she gives some less than half-hearted speech and they actually believe she's gotten over having the election taken from her by some rookie little black muslim boy.
Will they ever learn? Rhetorical, of course. They never do.

Anything's possible, but this was to be her time, her coronation, and I have a hard time believing she sees it any other way. No doubt Bill wants her in. And that Biden took the Veep nomination and she didn't even get asked?!? Ooooo Boy!! I'm guessing BHO and bin Biden are both on her short list of people who will soon rather wish they were dead than alive.

I believe that Hillary will do what it takes to convince the Liberal sheep that she is playing along. But the simple truth is an Obama victory will add eight years before she can run again (unless Obama steps down after one term, and she beats out Biden for the nomination in four years). Sarah may take the prize of first female President of the United States away from her, but Obama may take the Option off the table for her permanently(she will be 68).
