The doctor's office janitor is upset that his normally liberal TV set betrayed him.

Jesus, did I have a rough start to my morning...
I awakened atypically late at 6:40, and the reason, the REASON I awakened was that I heard the TV on downstairs. I know for certain it was off when I went to bed. I went downstairs and almost unbelievably Fox News is on the TV off the dining room. I cannot fathom how it turned on and how Fox would be the channel…
Of course, I grab the remote and say CNN into the voice activated device, and there’s CNN with the Philly-born idiot Michael Smerconish on, interviewing some guy, and the first words I hear out of this guys mouth are “Biden’s disastrous presidency“.
Now I’m really upset, and I say “TCM” and lo and behold there’s an old Batman serial from 1949. I watched the last few minutes of that, made my eggs, fed the dog, not in that order of course and began my day .
I am not certain, but it is conceivable that the guy next-door, who I firmly believe is a Trumper, may have used his remote on his TV and the device happens to coincide with mine. It’s the only explanation I can Come up with right now, and I am virtually certain I did not sleep walk, turn on the TV, change it to Fox, and go back to bed.
Weird shit, man…

He can't do it if you delete fox.
If he used his to turn on your tv though, you can change his to whatever you want too.
When did it become politically astute to make antagonizing people popular to gain voters to your cause?
I submit to you the whole 'owning the Libs' bit is just a cover for hateful people to be, well, hateful, and act like it's something different than just being Un-American a-holes. They can really "own the Libs' by proffering a platform that makes Americans want to vote for them legitimately, and without question win the govt. That's too much work for them though. So is counseling for anger issues too I 'spect.
Lazy, sadistic, antagonists=the GOP. Great advertising..ahem.
Good news is, he may have thought you had overslept your alarm?
Antagonizing people is the DUmmies stock-in-trade. You're constantly patting each other on the back for it, both real and imagined.

18. Maybe the NEXT great(?) thing in being major assholes
is switching peoples tvs. Same snide, sneaky, unaccountable slant as infecting people w a deadly disease intentionally or through selfish indifference? I could see a device that would allow it being a big 'must have' stocking stuffer for russian sympathizer gop nationwide.
Seems like I remember DUmmies believing it great sport to use those pocket remotes to change the channel off Fox News in public waiting rooms.

13. Can your teevee be hacked?
I know a lot of the cable things do updates late at night and perhaps that system has been tampered with.
It's creepy nonetheless.

Yeah, they sure cheered when walrus-faced Doug Bulna pulled that stunt.

Where’s the meme with the giraffe looking into the plane that says “The VRWC Is Everywhere!”?

I got my moderna booster yesterday(insert shameless virtue signal here) and have felt like shit all day, but pcintern's tale of TV woes this morning truly made my shitty day a little less shitty.

:rotf: If the remote is "voice activated", why did PCI pick it up before saying "CNN"?
:rotf: If PCI's neighbor really is a "Trumper", how did the neighbor's remote get paired with PCI's TV?
:rotf: If PCI's neighbor really is a "Trumper", how does the neighbor's remote have the power/range to go through one or more walls (separate houses? con-domonium?) and across such a distance?
:rotf: Since PCI's remote is "voice activated", maybe PCI said, "Damn you Fox News" in a dream ...
:rotf: Or PCI used normal DU language in a dream and the remote misunderstood "F#$% you" as "Fox News";
:rotf: Or maybe PCI's cat is a EEEEEEeeeeee-vile Trumper and is playing with PCI's head.
My :coffee: is really good this morning!

Is this the new anti-bouncy, where everything goes wrong for a DU poster? :-)
"And then everyone on the Fox show stood up and clapped..."

He tells us what they were talking about on CNN, they were talking about Biden’s disastrous presidency. I would've really liked to have heard his account of what they were talking about on FOX--but it must just be too triggering for him to relive the experience.

For at least a year after that amusing incident, I kept getting banner ads on my computer for Gearhart Chevrolet.

EXACTLY what I was thinking! Did he die or something? It was so long ago...
-
Yeah, they sure cheered when walrus-faced Doug Bulna pulled that stunt.
And he'd have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for his own big mouth.
They just HAVE to tell the world what they did...they literally can not help themselves.

You are being haunted by the ghost of Donald Trump!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hmmm, I wonder if this poster had some sort of recurrence, accidentally flipping to some legal channel and seeing reruns of the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict or something. :-)

Post-Trump Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

Maybe it's dissociative personality disorder (split personality.) The other person is MAGA so it gets up in the middle of the night and watches Fox.

Since it's been colder out, my remote doesn't work if I huddle in a blanket 8-feet-away from the cable-box, let alone trying to fire it through oak, aluminum, glass, and brick. I have to point the remote directly at the box, unobstructed.

AFAIK, TV remotes can be IR, non-Bluetooth RF, and Bluetooth RF. So range and ability to penetrate barriers can vary considerably. IR will be short range and blocked by barriers such as walls. The Bluetooth signal from my phone can go 20-30 feet, line of sight, but just a foot or two if through several layers of cloth ("talking" to ear pods). I seriously doubt PCI's neighbor's remote could affect PCI's TV, even if PCI lives in a thin-walled condo (assuming the neighbor's remote could control PCI's TV).
