It isn't that Democrats aren't as good at messaging as Republicans.
It's the medium. Most right-wingers never hear our message because they only listen to Fox and right-wing radio.
We can have great ideas and great ads but if we are the only ones listening, we're just singing to the choir.
I'm not sure how, but we have to get our messages to the masses that don't watch mainstream media.
Republicans win hearts and minds because they own the audience. People who only hear their messages.

1. I believe right-wing media, like Fox news, has been the greatest cause of all of the schisms

in our society and politics.
A house divided against itself cannot stand, and the USA is very divided.

2. I don't understand the "Democrats are bad at messaging" thing.
Republican voters know what Democrats stand for, what the message is. Government that helps people: Health care, equality, higher wages and benefits for workers, higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy, regulating industries, protecting the environment, funding infrastructure, education.
Why do Republicans know this and other people don't?

5. Its because republicans use fear to get their message across.
And quite simply nothing works as well as fear.

6. AND the WA Post analysis showed that the networks OVERALL put Biden at a disadvantage to Trump
in the amounts of positive coverage.
Not just Fox.

10. Virginia dems lost b/c dems didn't vote.
So the message clearly isn't getting out as much as you state. The turnout dropped in Biden won districts far more than voter drop in repukes districts. Repukes voted more in Biden won districts as well.
Dems spend too much time letting perfect be the enemy of good enough and then whine when repukes win. If you don't want repukes to win then vote for the Democratic candidate. It's not that hard. Repukes understand this is a war for power. To have power you must win. Dems still think the process will work and repukes can be reasoned with and will eventually "see the light.''
Repukes hear the Democratic message. They know that votes for dems equal higher pay and health care and decent water and all the other stuff. They think letting corporations bend them over and pissing off the left is better. Can't reason with abject stupidity. Just defeat them.

12. Democrats aren't as good at messaging as Republicans. It is simple for them they can put their entire platform on a couple bumper stickers. But I agree on the media, the Republicans are in a bubble
they only listen to and read the media that agrees with them. We don't have any media outlet that only tells us
what we want to hear. MSNBC and CNN talk endlessly about what Joe Manchin is going to do or what the
January 6th investigation isn't going to do. Meanwhile Fox pretty much ignores that and covers a dozen hot
button bumper sticker issues.
Inflation
Deficit
CRT
Smash and Grab
Abortion
Guns
Crime in (Democrat) cities
Shipping crises
Border crisis
and so on
It sounds like the country is in total meltdown if you listen to Fox.
Oh, my... this is excellent moleing!!!

13. At the core of all Rethug messaging, whether explicitly stated or not, is a simple message of
hate and fear:
The n-words, the f/q-words (LGBTQ), the satanists/non xians, and the commies are coming to get you and your families, including raping them.

17. "It sounds like the country is in total meltdown...
.. if you listen to Fox." And the only real problem at the moment is short supply with higher prices as a result, which is not due to anything Biden has or hasn't done. Stock market is good, economy is good, unemployment is low and new jobs numbers are good. But Fox rarely if ever, mentions those points. They just bring on a D.C. Trump lickspittle, like Scalise, who makes a comment that includes the words 'Biden' and 'inflation' and false premise is accepted.
That's the objective for Fox. The viewers willingness to accept it is the problem.

14. Don't just blame Fox,
how many other news anchors talked about the National Guard whistleblower yesterday? It has already been swept under the rug.
Democrats wouldn't have so much to worry about messaging if even a few big name traitors were indicted for the coup attempt. Holding traitors accountable would certainly jack up Democratic enthusiasm.
Talking just about getting out the vote is important but defeatest in the same sense. It really doesn't matter who votes in some swing states, it matters who is counting the votes, disregard that fact at our peril.
Steve Schmidt said it yesterday, if Trump runs in 2024 and loses there will be a violent response from his base.
Accountability is the #1 issue for the Democrats who I talk to.
Inherent contempt works, criminal contempt does not.

20. The right gets the message to the right
and the right goes out to vote.
The Democrats don't have a good way to get the message to the Democrats, who won't always agree and will declare they won't be in lockstep. So they aren't as likely to spread it to other Democrats. Democrats have the problem of Democrats not voting. They refuse to spread or repeat the message because they think for themselves and announce that quite often. They won't just repeat what they are told by the establishment and so on.

:rotf: Keep :jerkit: fapping :jerkit: those stereotypes, :rotf: . AFAIK, I have never watched Fox News in its entire existence. As for "right-wing radio", I might listen to one of a couple of ConservaTalkers during my AM and/or PM commute ... or a jazz or a classical station.

And yet, we literally have a form dedicated to exposing democrats' ideas.

How presumptuous and insular do you have to be to think this? "Oh, no one could possibly disagree with our viewpoint if they heard our messaging!"

Democrats are fear mongers par excellence.

They are so blinded in their idea that FoxNews is the boogie man that they don't see people don't what to buy the shit they are peddling.
I don't watch FoxNews either. I make my own opinions on my past experiences and the news I gleen from multiple sources, not one single fountain of propaganda.

That was what they said after the Tea Party wave and again after Trump's victory. And will again next year when we retake Congress. The messagING is just fine. You explain your positions with complete clarity. Message heard loud and clear. Message REJECTED.
The only way democrats and leftists can win is when they HIDE their true agenda. Things like "the Build Back Worse Bill will cost ZERO dollars."
-
Why are Republicans listening to alt News? Two reasons:
1) 4 years of "Trump is Bad!"
2) We cannot get the truth from the MSM.
We get spiked stories, propaganda, and talking points, But NOT news.

Au contrair DUmbass. The Democrats are very good at messaging at what they want for America. Inflation, high gas prices, disorganised retreat from Afghanistan, rampant crime in Democrat run cities, food shortages, looking weak on the international stage and other things is the "message" Democrats are sending. Americans look at your "messaging" and want no part of it.
