3. Alot of people have a lot at stake

in maintaining stability. I have friends and family with babies for gods sake!

This is a global pandemic - fascism. Right along with the other virus.

4. The irony of the term troubles...

My son's partner has Irish citizenship eligibility, so my escape plan if I don't emigrate for work, is to chain migrate to Ireland.

5. I started looking at property in Canada today -

I can get to BC from my home in 3 hours.

I know you can only live there for 6 months minus 1 day each year, but could give breathing room anyway.

It feels irrational to seriously start planning for this, but if history is any guide....

Don't forget CHAZ/CHUD whatever the nutters called their "autonomous zone" in Seattle during those "mostly peaceful" protests.  Don't forget Portland for most of the last year and a half.

I don't know what kind of coming "troubles," political violence DUpipo fantasize will happen, but one thing I think is likely is that if Dem pols don't get off police departments' @$$ and let them do their jobs, more and more ordinary people will take action to defend themselves and their families.
