Postponed. Again.
It wasn't that long ago that I got a call from my pulmonologist's office; they asked for my okay on shifting my upcoming follow-up appointment to another staff doctor seeing as how my regular doctor is in charge of the ICU at the hospital. I asked how many of those ICU beds were occupied by unvaxed patients, the answer was "Every. Single. One." My appointment was rescheduled for later this week.
Today I got another call from the pulmonology clinic. My follow-up appointment has been rescheduled again, this time to February, because all their doctors have now been called to the ICU.
I've now had two procedures postponed indefinitely; a number of friends, some with more serious chronic health issues, are similarly shifted to accommodate the influx. At what point is it okay to stop wondering if anti-vaxers have latent homicidal tendencies?

You love this covid lockdown stuff so

Never happened. ::)

I'm sure the clerk in the doctor's office not only has the medical data on every patient at the local hospital ICU and is also willing to share it with some moonbat on the telephone.
Zero :stoner: awarded.

I'd really like to see one of these mythical places that are full to the brim with all covid patients.
we have some pretty major systems in my area and i am in them all occasionally for business, and though it all, I've never seen this elusive phenomena even once.

I asked how many of those ICU beds were occupied by unvaxed patients, the answer was "Every. Single. One." and every patient is wearing red MAGA hats and "Let's Go Brandon" pajamas
edited for a more realistic :bouncy:

Even if this were true, it isn't, ICUs might have 20 beds if it is a big hospital. Hospitals like ours a big one for the population because it is more of a regional hospital has 14 beds. So not that big a deal... if this drug induced delusion were true but it isn't.

In fact, negative bongs. A very hackneyed stereotypical bouncy lacking creativity.

Yep, it's a fictional :bouncy: seeking DUmp cred.

Within the past month I've been inside a hospital in Mountain View and driven by a hospital in west San Jose. Neither had cars waiting in the street to enter the parking lot, lines of would-be patients waiting to enter, outdoor pavilions for extra ER space, occupied beds in hallways or the lobby, etc., etc., etc..
Looking in the usual place, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ , daily new cases are a little more than 1/3 of the peak of last winter's surge and less than a third of a year ago. As for daily deaths, they appear to have remained flat or declined slightly for the past 4 weeks, and are also ~1/3 of last winter's peak.
Unless her local hospital is some sort of Hell-island vastly different from the US as a whole, madamesilverspurs is lying, blatantly and unskillfully.

Is madamesilverspurs' whereabouts known? Chances are, stats for her county's hospitals capacity utilization are online ... easy :bouncy: -factchecking.

No, but perhaps it might be helpful pointing out she's been on SSDI since the last year of the first Bush administration.
That's been a lot of years, and a lot of other people's money.

Any bets that her doctor is just hoping for the best and she kicks off before February?

Five or six years ago she seems to have lived in Weld County, CO. Per https://protect-public.hhs.gov/pages/hospital-utilization , the hospital in her city has:
175 inpatient beds out of 384 occupied, 54.43%
31 ICU beds out of 81 occupied, 61.73%
So either madamesilverspurs lied, grossly and stupidly, or she lied by not mentioning that the hospital has a staffing shortage due to the hospital having a vax mandate (whether of the hospital's choice or CO's goobernor's mandate). This claim, 'I asked how many of those ICU beds were occupied by unvaxed patients, the answer was "Every. Single. One."' tells me she was lying grossly and stupidly, thinking nobody would and could fact-check her lie.
Well, I'm that kind of A-hole (from a DU POV, of course), :-) .

Guess who posted that info about madamesilverspurs' whereabouts. All I did was search for the hospital occupancy info for her city.

Whoever was on the phone with her broke HIPAA and is liable for up to $250,000 in fines. Didn't happen and all this stuff is so old hat. The new variant is basically the sniffles for two days, not even as bad as a cold.

Saying that a particular hospital or its ICU is swamped with unnamed Covid patients is not a HIPAA violation. Nor is saying that a particular doctor is working in a particular hospital's ICU. A HIPAA violation would be sharing a named person's specific medical information, e.g. "Jane Smith was diagnosed with ______," or "Mary Jones is in the hospital," or "Kathy Brown is a patient of Doctor Black."
I don't work in anything medical, but my wife is a medical records specialist at a local hospice and thus has to know what she can share, to whom, by what means (e.g. unencrypted email is a serious no-no).
