If you haven't been to the post office for the Christmas season you are in for a shock. Dejoy has inflated the prices for shipping. Prioirty and flat rate is almost the same. There is a 25% surcharge and it started on Oct.3rd. He is trying to force everyone to UPS and Fedex.

People that sell on Etsy are getting killed. Shipping costs more than the price of the item they are mailing.

The USPS hired on 55k people for part time help during the holiday season too.

I am using snail mail but if it slows delivery many will switch to online invoices and payments thus reducing further their revenue.

The USPS needs a major review about some unrealistic financial obligations that I am not even sure about the details.

Yeah! Right on! :thatsright: The USPS loses shit-loads of $$ with every package, so the USPS has to make that up in volume!! Doesn't DeJoy understand that?!!! :thatsright:

This may be the last season for a while where businesses offer "free shipping".  Going forward, one can likely expect an extra shipping charge to purchases or be asked to select "Click and Pick" and be asked to go to a retail location to retrieve an on-line purchase.

Technically,  It is. Also, Postal employees swear the same oath of office as the military...
