Are we all in a bubble here...?

Because all I see, anywhere I turn in the progressive blogosphere, is that Palin is in trouble, the Republicans are abandoning her like rats fleeing the sinking ship, that McCain may have to ask her to withdraw, etc., etc.
Then I look at the Corporate Media (yes, I know, but they are where most people get their news), and all I read is about how the Republicans are "rallying around" Palin and showing "strong, enthusiastic support" for McCain's pick.
So, I have to wonder: are we here on the left, at DU, DailyKos, MyDD, OpenLeft, TalkingPointsMemo, and so on, simply in an echo-chamber-like bubble where we only reinforce our own wishful thinking? Can the Corporate Media be considered, instead, the group in the bubble (even though their version of reality is what will be swallowed whole by the vast majority of the American electorate)? Or is the Republican "strong, enthusiastic support" similar to the "vote of confidence" the owner of a struggling sports franchise gives his coach/manager just before canning his sorry ass?
As they used to say in the Comedy Central ads, "I don't know...I'm askin'"

1. The tone of the coverage has COMPLETELY changed. It's getting there.. DU is always about
24-36 hours ahead of the curve
actually DU is always 24-36 BUSINESS HOURS ahead of the curve. :lmao:

2. We are 12 hours ahead of the news cycle...
And we are about to find out which is stronger, the bloggers or the traditional media.
You will end up being disappointed. Traditional media still lives somewhat in the real world unlike the retards at DU.
This thread is more insane ramblings of the foul balls at the DUmp. They think they are leading the way to the great coronation in November but they are only hastening their own disappointment.

I think the primitives, as one of them asked, are simply trying to reinforce their own wishful thinking.

And the rest of us rubberneck as we drive pass the head on collision that is DU. So much for being ahead of the curve.

Meh. DU and other wastelands arent ahead of the news - they are trying to manufacture it. If Palin is so bad, why do you really want her to go ? If I were DU, I would shut up about Palin's 'problems' until after she is officially running for VP after the convention - that would do the most damage. Make palin not an asset but an albatross.
Hoping to get her dumped beforehand means to me that <<YOU>> want her gone.

Are we all in a bubble here...? ...uh.....NO. ....I'd say "sewage treantment" plant would be a better analogy. ....on the inlet side.

WTF? Hey moron, I don't guess you saw the story of the millions that have been rolling in since she was announced. Fleeing a sinking ship? :lmao:
Right. :whatever:

Why don't they scurry on over to the right-wing blogosphere and check the water, then they would get a better feeling if we are abandoning Palin. They don't want to do it though, it's a form of sticking their fingers in their ears and saying "la la la la....I can't hear you".

Indeed - Ive spent the last couple of days peeking at Conservative sites, as well as the PUMA ones = Id say better than 80% are thrilled with Palin, though some are reserving comment until they hear more from her.
The only negatives Ive seen have come from the NeoConservatives ( the 'real' Neoconservatives - not the DUmps definition) they are concerned about her support for Israel. They seem to think that her small government policies and beliefs will leave no room for an American umbrella over their nation.

Occasionally there is a glimmer of intelligent thought at DU, but the loyal regulars always rally to screen the eyes of poor noob who actually saw a bit of it, or better yet to banish him/her.
