Gavin Newsom went missing for eleven days since October 27. However, he recently emerged to explain that he was gone from public view in order to spend Halloween time with this family. Hey, this is a perfectly rational explanation. However, since it is only four days from October 27 until Halloween, what was he doing for the other seven days? Well, am sure he has another highly plausible explanation for that as well.

Much as anti-Covid-vaxxers want the explanation to be "Vaccine Injury", reappearing publicly so soon after his virtue-signal-booster is not very consistent with that wishful thinking.
I'm trying to figure out how Noisome "qualifies" for a booster. He's well under age 65, AFAIK, not especially overweight, and AFAIK has no significant health issues that would weaken his immune system. I don't recall the guidelines for boosters including a Virtue-Signalling by Prog Politicians qualification.
Are these children from his first marriage, from his affair with his chief of staff's wife, some other (not publicly known) GF-with-benefits, or his current wife?

Sorry, but that is the only acceptable reason until he tells the truth. Not all serious reactions have to be near death experiences that drag on for weeks or months.
I've known several people that had reactions to the vaccine that knocked them on their ass for over a week, but once they had recovered they were fine with no lingering effects.
These vaccines that aren't vaccines are new enough that no one knows for certain what they will do.

A better alternative would be, "I don't know and am willing to wait for evidence." Silence is not evidence.
