I just came back from a Lowe's in Durham, NC, near where a lot of shootings
have been happening recently.
Most of the seasonal display section has been filled with merchandise for Christmas: lights, fake trees, outdoor extension cords, tree decorations...you know the drill. But what stopped me cold was a display between the two sets of sliding exit doors: huge gun safes. Big ones designed to hold multiple weapons of all sizes.
Has anybody else seen huge gun safes being marketed to every customer who walks out the door of a big box store?
This one holds 32 long guns, 6 hand guns, and runs over $1600.

so does DUmmy mnhtnbb prefer that people who own guns leave them hap-hazardly scattered around the house for anyone to pick up and accidentally discharge?

Let's see ... there are lots of hunters in central NC, and it's probably one or more hunting seasons. Maybe that Lowe's knows its customer base and their current interests.
But why are DUpipo getting exercised at the idea of gun owners storing their guns and ammo safely? :o

Since shootings are always the fault of the gun it's a good idea to keep them locked in a safe so they can't escape and shoot people.

Given that many/most "shootings" are by people unlikely to set foot in a Lowe's, except to shoplift, I don't think that Lowe's will sell any gun safes to the sort of people DUpipo imagine would buy them.
Using the Lowe's store locator and GoogMaps, both Durham stores are close to rural areas hunters might use, the north store especially. Context matters, and as usual with DUmmies, lying by omission.

They're always the fault of the gun - unless the gun was used to defend a teenager from a mob of leftist scum wielding weapons of their own and threatening to kill the hapless yute, then it's the hapless yute's fault. [/Wish_This_Was_Sarcasm]

Wouldn't guns stored in a safe be less likely to be used in a shooting?

You mean make them inaccessible when you need them?
Yes. Yes, it would. Which is why, no matter whch bullshit leftist gun law comes down the sewer pipe, I'll never have one of those damned things in my house.

We have a few but my kiss were taught to know and respect them at a very young age.. my boys got their .22 bolt actions at ages 6 and 7. Wife just got her 9mm Ruger to compliment her cc permit

No. I meant the sort of reckless criminal activity the DUmmie is upset about.

Guns don't kill people, Democrats kill people.
