This is the brilliance we’re up against. DUmmie proves the absurdity of government bureaucracy, while explaining to the unwashed why you should trust the government.

To all the Trump supporters complaining about vaccine mandates taking away your freedom
These employer vaccine mandates are coming through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Let me tell you a little story.
In 1998 I was working in a general commercial printing plant in North Carolina. Large businesses with heavy equipment like we had are subject to random inspections by OSHA. One day they came in and they seemed very interested in my MSDS book.
"It's not complete."
"Isn't it? We have MSDS in here for chemicals we don't even use. I have 29 different MSDS for the exact same brand and formulation of ink because we've got to have one for each color in stock. We have nine different MSDS for isopropyl alcohol because our supplier changes the oil company they get it from on a regular basis. What MSDS could we possibly be missing?"
"You don't have one for water."
No kidding. There is an MSDS for water. We got fined $500 for not having it. Fortunately, the inspector also had one with her so we put it right in.
The moral of this story is, if I can pay the government $500 for not having an MSDS for water - the last chemical in the world you'd ever expect would need one - you can get a couple of shots to help end this pandemic.
http://research.iheartanthony.com/2012/02/09/the-mythical-water-material-safety-data-sheet/
Yes folks it’s real and it’s sitting right there. When I first learned about Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) the joke was that everything in your lab had to have one, including water. But that was a joke. No one has an MSDS for water. Well now the KochLab does. If your lab also has one then forgive me for my nievity, but the hilarity that I am about to notebook about is completely new to me and maybe even to some of you (most of you, all of you?). Anyways let’s proceed, but start at the beginning…
I posted last week about how I was going to determine if the DI water we keep in the lab has different effects from other DI waters so I bought 2 types of purified DI water from Sigma and it has arrived between Monday and today. I honestly don’t understand the differences in the waters (I mean why can’t they just sell some pure DI water and be done with it?) but whatever.
The water that arrived Monday was molecular biology grade water, and the water that arrived today was cell culture grade water. The difference in the packaging is minimal (just lot numbers and identifiers), except that the cell culture water came in a ziplock bag and had an MSDS provided with it.
WHAAATTTT?!
I know crazy. At first I thought nothing of it, but then I actually read the thing and all hilarity ensued. Here are some excerpts:
Potential Health Effects: May be harmful if inhaled. May cause respiratory tract irritation. May be harmful if absorbed through skin. May cause skin irritation. May cause eye irritation. May be harmful if swallowed.
First Aid Measures: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. In case of skin contact, wash off with soap and plenty of water. In case of eye contact, flush eyes with water as a precaution. If swallowed, never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water.
Yes this is for real.
And before you are all like “Well this is pure water… blah blah blah!” I understand that, but the amount of pure water you would have to drink to have any noticeable effects has to be more than the amount of D2O you would need to drink to be in any concern which is something like 30% of your body weight.
But just indulge me on how funny this all comes across.
And it’s pretty funny. I mean we’re talking about the fact that there are explicit dangers with having water in the lab. So much so that there is an information packet that tells you how to treat those dangers. And that the remedies for those dangers are to dispel with water! How insanely backwards is that?!
“Oh my goodness there is water in my eyes!” “Quick, flush your eyes with some water!”
“Oh no! I got water on my hands!” “Aahhh, rinse with soap and water! It’s the only way!”
Preposterous!
Yes, thank you big government for saving me from that hazard …

Actually, the moral of the story for this DUmmie- :bouncy: -tale is that many regs imposed by bureaucrats are moronic.

I've dealt with OSHA - and their anal-retentive little brother, MSHA - for closing in on 4 decades now. Met all kinds of inspectors over the years, and most have been the epitome of respect and professionalism.
What the DUmbass isn't saying, is that s/h/it behaved like an asshole with regard to this inspector and her responsibilities at some point (probably - knowing DUmmies - from the initial introductions onward) and the inspector responded in kind.
Don't bait the bear, DUmbshits, unless you're prepared to wrestle.

Even if true, that just tells us OSHA needs to be disbanded, not given more power.

And the purest form is also the deadliest.

It is the leading cause of death in children ages 1 - 4 https://www.stopdrowningnow.org/drowning-statistics/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8p2MBhCiARIsADDUFVHuwrswZs6_ZYepXkoUt6-kfO02rN1aHPfSef7n3yiRmKXsEuQX70UaApsSEALw_wcB (https://www.stopdrowningnow.org/drowning-statistics/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8p2MBhCiARIsADDUFVHuwrswZs6_ZYepXkoUt6-kfO02rN1aHPfSef7n3yiRmKXsEuQX70UaApsSEALw_wcB)
Why aren't both political parties pushing for bipartisan sensible Dihydrogen monoxide control laws?
Ban the possession of this harmful substance for anyone under the age of 5?
Limit access to it for anyone who is not properly trained and certified to handle it?
Limit the amount of the harmful substance a person can have in their possession at one time. No one needs a container that holds more than 100 gallons of H20 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSF-8hUyP6M (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSF-8hUyP6M) #LGB)

This is the part that screams :bouncy: to me.
If the DUmbass had actually pissed off an OSHA inspector sufficient for her to slap s/h/it with a MSDS violation for water, the moment the DUmbass inserted the MSDS sheet in the binder, s/h/it shoulda/woulda been slapped again, because any chemical listed in your MSDS binder must have every vessel containing that chemical marked with NFPA diamonds.

If that little story was meant to be convincing, it failed.

The only thing it convinced me of was that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. That water should be considered covered under MSDS is absurd; specific industrial processes would already cover the hazards exposure to water could cause. That there would be a $500 fine is just icing on the cake.

I agree there, but there's no connection between getting the jab and MSDS for water except they fall under OSHA. That's quite possibly the worst argument for getting the vaccine that I've heard, though give the Dems/left time and I'm sure they can beat this one.
"You should get the jab!"
"Why?"
"Because vaccine mandates are under the purview of OSHA which also has a MSDS for water."
"Wha....!?!"

Obviously this only applies to the AR's that do not have high capacity clips and muzzle thingy's.
