RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Republican Winsome Sears has made history after defeating Democratic challenger Hala Ayala to become Virginia’s first woman lieutenant governor.
“I didn’t run to make history, I just wanted to leave it better than I found it,” said Winsome Sears (R). “Hold on Virginia, help is on the way, the cavalry has arrived!”
Born in Jamaica, Sears became the first black female Republican, first female veteran, and the first naturalized citizen, to serve.

Years ago there was an article in Wilson Quarterly that compared the socioeconomic status of various ethnic groups.
West Indian Blacks were above average.

There's so much about Ms. Sears for a loathsome bottom dweller like Malaise to be envious of.
The trick - which admittedly, no DUmbass would ever learn - is to apply what the Lt.Governor-elect has done with HER life as an example to emulate instead of an apostasy to denounce.

Winsome possess black skin of a particular aesthetic tone, while Christine is a sickenly yellowish-black.

Blacks - in Africa or in the Americas - are not monolithic. In the US there are "issues" between light-skinned and dark-skinned blacks. I'm sure many rural blacks wonder what in Hades is wrong with some urban blacks (and other urban blacks - ones who don't get on the evening news - probably do, too). Among those "issues" is tensions between some blacks who immigrated from the Caribbean, and became successful in some ways, and some urban blacks whose chose the victim-dependency way of life. And since those successful Caribbean black immigrants are the ones energetic & motivated enough to take that very challenging path in life, some who stayed behind, e.g. mal, wallow in their own victimhood (e.g. blaming British and US Imperialism).
Needless to say, my opinions and a Hamilton will get you a latte and change at Starchucks. Oddly enough, judging people by their character rather than their skin color is actually simpler and more healthy mentally.

There are a lot more conservative-leaning black people in the US than people think, and the wholesale insanity over VA at MSNBC may encourage a few more to run for office. But what isn't being reported is how conservative a LOT of illegal and legal immigrants from Central America are. Opening the border completely is likely to have a long-term negative impact on liberals. Joy Reid may want black people just standing around on streetcorners, but I am not sure they're going to be satisfied with that.

Before she fell off the radar, His Daughter (DI and the old H5 site) made the observation that "African-American" was not the same as "Black" and was as much an issue of culture as skin color. She noted that Black people raised overseas had markedly different attitudes regarding a myriad of political issues.

Goes back to the Left's hive-mind/communist mindset. Everyone should think and feel the same. All members of a group should think and feel the same about everything. It blows my mind that the individuality of the hippies, the jazz and blues artists, the punks, the metalheads ect of the past somehow got led into this groupthink. Punk and metal used to want every system torn down, now most of them scream "Vote Democrat!!1!1"
