A Serious Question for the GOP
How low are you willing to go? Have you hit rock bottom yet - or is there further to fall?
Over the past four years, draft-dodger Trump has told your voters that their once-revered war hero, John McCain, was a loser because he spent years being tortured in a POW camp - and you allowed him to do so.
At the time, I thought you'd finally hit rock bottom. But that was just the beginning of four years of lies, deceit, and spinelessness - four years that culminated in an attack on the Capitol - and on democracy itself - based on the Big Lie that an election had been stolen from a blatantly corrupt idiot who the American people came out in droves to be rid of.
The Grand Old Party is now the party of conspiracy-driven whack-jobs who believe that Democrats eat babies, that Jews start fires by use of 'space lasers', that Trump is still actually the 'pResident', that the Covid vaccine contains parasites that will alter one's DNA, that world leaders are all part of a cabal that sex-traffics children, that Hillary Clinton and her Democratic cohorts have been rounded-up and executed, that Joe Biden is actually an automaton created at DisneyWorld, that outer-space aliens are actually running the country, and that the events of January 6th never actually happened - and if they did, it was the result of paid actors who put on a show for the cameras.
Go back and read that last paragraph again, GOP, and familiarize yourself with the people you now "lead", the voters who believe every conspiracy theory promoted by your own party members - no matter how ridiculous, no matter how contradictory, no matter how utterly ludicrous and easily-debunked.
You ARE now the party of unhinged lunatics - the party of so-called 'Christians' who believe that Trump is more powerful than God, the party of 'patriots' who believe that Trump is more powerful than the Constitution, the party who believes that our very democracy is dependent on nothing more than the whims of those who have decided to destroy it.
I can't think of anything more pitiful than a once-respected political party having sunk so low as to take pride in leading the dumbest low-info voters, and the obviously insane.
When your party's "base" is comprised of unhinged lunatics, it might be time to reassess your political strategy - along with everything else you once claimed to stand for.
As things turned out, the demonization of John McCain was just the beginning of how low the Republican party was willing to go - and the depths of their moral decline is still unknown.

He received five student draft deferments due to medical exceptions during his time as an undergraduate at the University of Delaware, and at Syracuse University, where he studied Law.

You stupid, ignorant, c**t, go back to DU circa 2008 election and tell me how much respect DU had for McCain THEN, and get back to me. As for Trump, well, he said some outrageous things about McCain, and they sucked, and
he was an asshole for saying them, because McCain did things and had fortitude not found in many soldiers, let alone in other people. (Of course, DU called him a terrible, reckless pilot who betrayed his comrades, but I'll leave those

The thing is, we don't worship Republicans as gods the way the democrat party does. Trump was immature and a little too pugnacious, but he had this country on a positive vector until you guys conspired with China to release Covid.

I sincerely doubt the vaccine alters DNA, but it could have long-term impacts that we don't know about.
