Cruz was my selection in the 2016 caucus and he won the state. Obviously we know how the rest of 2016 played out, but am still proud of that. And when an uber lib like Alan Derschowicz calls Cruz the smartest law student he's ever had only reinforces my respect. Not to mention that he and other conservatives push back hard on mindless moonbat gibberish.

I initially supported Scott Walker, but he flamed out early and I went for Cruz in the primary; Trump in the general.

Yup, I was leaning towards Walker until he dropped out in late 2015, and mulled Cruz and Dr. Ben Carson. Figured future President Trump was just posturing for media coverage until he started winning and obviously voted for him.
My track record since 1988 on predicting which Republican would win has been horrendous. But I always voted for them because they were a hell of a lot better than the alternative.
