Obama condemns Palin rumors

By CHARLES BABINGTON – 52 minutes ago

MONROE, Mich. (AP) — Barack Obama is condemning campaign rumors involving the children of candidates, including Republican vice presidential contender Sarah Palin. He says he will fire any campaign worker that violates his rule.

Obama, speaking Monday to reporters in Michigan, said he thinks "people's families are off limits, and people's children are especially off limits."

Palin, the Alaska governor, announced that her 17-year-old daughter Bristol is five months pregnant. McCain's campaign said the announcement was made in order to knock down rumors that Bristol was actually the mother of Palin's fifth child, who was born in April.

Obama adamantly denied anonymous claims that his campaign helped spread the rumors.

     So, there you have it.

Any DUer who makes ONE MORE post about the Palin baby is officially a PUMA. Obama has spoken.

How many replies does this thread have, in which Obama lays down the law? Five.

Is he the Chosen One, or not? Are you going to follow his order, or not? Glassy-eyed morons: your leader has spoken. That means you have to:

This is his way of trying to keep the media from talking about Michelle.  Also, I've heard that he is adopting Reverend Wright and Tony Rezko.  They are now off limits, also.  :fuelfire:

Hopefully, God-Willing, they'll ignore him or not take him seriously.  :evillaugh:

Indeed - Discussing anything Palin-related makes her life-story more compelling than his own - The Obamessiah will have none of that.

Took him long enough.

He could have done this as soon as the rumors started.

But he chose to let the DUmmies display their ugly side for almost 72 hours before he strode to the mountain top and sent down his commandment.

He and his handlers waited to see who was getting damaged by them. Once it became apparent it was The One, it was decided to speak against the rumor-mongering.

miskie hit the nail on the head. This spun badly so he "denounced" it. Much like the "denouncement" of Rev. Wright I'm sure.

What will Der Skimmer do to any violators?

If $skammer shuts down all the Palin threads, he will only have one college football thread and maybe one about Cubs.

well, considering the fact that BHO's mother was 17 or 18 when he was conceived, and that his mother and father weren't married at the time, you can understand his hesitation to make an issue out of this.

of course, the DUmmies, in their hysteria, don't understand the full implications of their actions. :whatever:

Part I. A classic. I don't remember exactly how many times I've seen that movie back in the 80s, but it was certainly a whole lot.

Yes -- it included "Jews In Space" (the tune of which was recycled for "Men in Tights").

The stupid thing is that they tried to make hay out of this at all. Just goes to show you how incredibly twisted the left is. The problem for the left is that Sarah Palin's family could be ANY of ours. Young people make mistakes, some mistakes have more severe consequences than others. This particular situation brings challenges and blessings. A life, whose potential and greatness are as yet unknown will have a chance to be the person God intended him/her to be.

The problem with DUmmies is their lack of understanding of what it means to BE a Christian, fundamentalist or otherwise. It definitely doesn't mean we don't (ALL of us) make mistakes, it's how we allow God to enter our hearts and make it through those problems that defines us. Granted, I would've preferred Eve NOT take the apple (women have been paying for that for quite some time) but the fact is, we have all been in Eve's situation. Plenty of us need a second chance. THAT is where we find the hands of our brothers and sisters reaching for us. That is where we find God's grace. Not one of us is saved because we're perfect, sinless, or subservient...(you have NO idea how I struggle with headship) love saves us. God neve expects us to NOT make mistakes (that kind of perfection would make us Gods) but how we handle mistakes, especially big ones, says more about our character, values and reverence than being "perfect". DUmmies can't understand that.

If it was one of their own there would be a flurry of threads on how to get public assistance.  That's what chaps their collective behinds.  That all people make mistakes.  Some live up to those mistakes.  Some try to move the goalposts and claim that they are being persecuted for their mistakes.  Some tend to those in need.  Some do nothing but rant and rave about no one helping those in need.

Cindie, another H5.

Also, History of the World, Part I was one of the funniest movies ever.  Mel Brooks was in a sort of "golden age" back then.
