Here's what keeps me awake at night concerning January 6th.
If those people who stormed the Capital Building got a hold of anyone in Congress, and I mean anyone...Democrat or Republican...I believe that not only would they have been murdered, but they would have been murdered in a way that would rival the worst butcherings that exist in the most horrendous videos on the internet.
I have no doubt that the murder of these politicians would be similar to murders performed by cartel members. I know that may sound crazy to some, but all you have to do is to look at the faces of the "protesters", listen to their words, and watch their actions to come to this conclusion.
And all of this would have been performed under the guise of "patriotism".
And supporters of TFG would be bellowing on social media that the acts were "justified" in order to "save the country".
I believe all of the above with no hesitation.
Now try to imagine the shock that would place this country in.
This is what should be talked about openly in the MSM. Instead of dancing around the issue by saying "there must be consequences".

...then President Trump would have had no choice but to invoke the Insurrection Act, and assume the sweeping, near-dictatorial powers it provides. Which, of course, was the whole idea.
At several junctures, we came within a few dozen seconds, and a few dozen yards, of losing U.S. democracy.
For example, many have seen security-camera footage of Capitol Police officer Eugene Goodman grabbing Senator Romney's shoulder and turning him around just moments before he would have blundered into the mob. Things would not have gone well with either Romney or our nation if the terrorists had gotten him in their clutches.

18. What's bothering me is that we know they had help from the inside.
There were multiple Congress people and senators helping the insurrectionists. Even the Washington Post reported that the leaders of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers were getting anonymous text messages that were traced back to the Capitol. It's time to find out who and root them out of office. That whole party is compromised as far as I am concerned.

Let me understand this: you are sure than on Jan 6 that had a tiny group of thrill-seeking idiots gotten access to congresspeople, they'd have tortured and mutilated them? Yet since Jan 6, as SO MANY of these INCREDIBLY BLOODTHIRSTY AND MURDEROUS individuals have yet to be identified or located, there has been not so much as a crank call made to the offices of these "hunted" congressfolk?
