I want to use DU to personally thank Lt. Michael Byrd.
Very few people know it, but my Stepbrother is a US Congressman and was on the other side of that door. I truly feel that Lt. Michael Byrd saved his life and many others.
In my brothers position, I'm sure he would have been on the "target" list and would not have survived without the actions of Lt. Byrd.

1. Ashli Babbitt was unarmed. She was threat to no one.
2. Ashli Babbitt was climbing and crawling through a broken window, not a door!
3. No Congress-Critter was within several yards of that window, and probably none were within sight of it, either.
4. The opening in the broken window was so small and the chairs piled in front of it so deep that just one person at a time could get through it. Detaining people one by one as they crawled through would have been easy.
Screwloosa's stepbrother, like other Congress-Critters in the Capitol building - many were not in the building, including the drama-queen liar AOC - was in zero danger, and Byrd had zero to do with that. Byrd panicked - or went full-macho - and needlessly shot from ambush an unarmed woman who was a threat to no one.

She was a small woman, weighing around a hundred-pounds, if that.
I see Byrd's life spiraling downward big-time from this.
