Maskless Maggat confronts me then cowers. A true and revealing event.

I was shopping last Friday for groceries and was one of the few people in the store wearing a mask.

As I wheeled my cart down the coffee isle a forty year old looking guy, a guy much younger than me, a guy not wearing a mask, spotted me and headed straight towards me, agitated.

When he got within 15 feet of me or so he started shouting, "What are you afraid of, dude. What's with the f*cking mask..."

Not in the mood to engage this asshole, I replied "I'm wearing it because I don't feel well."

Seriously, the guy stopped dead in his tracks and the color drained from his face. He literally backed away and left the isle without saying another word.

So much for another fearless and maskless Trumper, eh?

Yup, that's just how it happened right there.  I see it ALL the time when I'm out and about.  Those of us who choose to follow the science on masks are absolutely insane and attack those who wear masks ...  :lmao:

I'll take "(Bleep) that Didn't Happen" for $10, Art.

I was around some 400 masked people for a couple of hours Sunday morning while I was unmasked. With 400 opportunities I never once had the impulse to yell at someone for wearing a mask. There must be something wrong with me. Or maybe DUmmies' stereotypes are mostly fictional.

There are a few over there subtly calling him out.  Most are just cheerleaders who actually believe it, or have had the same encounters in THEIR head as well.

They are completely fictional.

Of course this did not happen.

For those of us old enough to remember this:

Dear Penthouse:

I know you'll never believe this story, but it is absolutely true.

So, an incredibly well-endowed woman moved next door to me and my wife, and she decided to run around topless in her backyard.  We greeted her politely and suddenly my wife suggested that we have a threesome....

Penthouse letters were essentially a perpetual bouncy story.  Things that would never actually happen but seem like fan fiction.

As usual, they just lap this shit up and purr.  "Get thee to the Greatest Page!"  As far as I could tell, only Treefrog was sceptical.

43. Except these stories seem to come out of blue towns.

I live in a red town. It’s ne’er happened to me or anyone I know.

This false bravado will be a disservice to them when the time comes.

Encourage it.

Silicon Valley is one of the deepest blue parts of California. I've never seen/heard anything remotely like the DU-OP :bouncy: , nor felt tempted to do it. IMO, either these :bouncy: s are pure fiction or omit provocation by the :bouncy: -telling DUmmie ... probably a mix of both.

Those were great.  Stewardesses next door was a constant theme.  And the perpetual "this never happens to guys like me. Yeah, I am 6' 4", 200 lbs and work out 15 times a week but other than that I am just an average guy."
