Were all the people on the runway attempting to escape from the Taliban?
That is what we were told as the pictures flashed across our TV screens. After all, they already had about 800 people on board the transport plane.
Also, we can assume those climbing up the sides and on the wings were wanting out of the country. But we don't know for sure?
Many of those on the ground running in front of the plane appeared to be celebrating the event? They did not look frightened or looking to escape. Perhaps they were just trying to keep the plane from taking off?
When we are told that all those people around the plane were trying to escape the Taliban, I am not so sure?
Perhaps a trivial point?
Yes, that is it. They are celebrating that the US is leaving... So happy they climb on the outside of the plane to bang on the side to try to annoy those inside

Some of them didn't seem all that desperate from what I could tell.
Nope... cause clinging to the outside of the plane isn't desperate
Same here I saw some that looked happy, if they wanted to
be on the plane and it was too late, why celebrate? If all those people would have fought back they wouldn't have needed to run.

...it just seemed a little out of character to me. I am sure many people, especially women, are frightened to death.
I am sure there are vids of this, right? screen caps, pics... some kind of proof

The oddest comments I’ve seen from the primitives, and this was coming from dozens of them scattered over several threads, was them wondering why their weren’t women and children running along side the plane with the men and asking why the men wouldn’t be trying to get their families on the plane. Of all the things to be wondering about as the Afghan people scramble to avoid Biden’s Bay of Pigs withdrawal screw-ups, that’s the one they picked.

1. I know Meb and Usain Bolt are fast, but I don't think they could keep up with a jet accelerating to over 100 mph for take-off.
2. "Weird" is not among the top 5 or 10 list of adjectives I would have chosen for kt's alternate reality casserole. Moronic ... idiotic ... stoooooooooo-pid ... ludicrous ........ these adjectives would be on that list.

To be fair to the Taliban, they are pretty strong on the separation of Church and state (which the DUmmies should love) - albeit because they believe in the extermination of the Church... Separation of mosque and state...not so keen on that one.

A lot of the primitives seem skeptical. They don't believe that there are Afghans who are genuinely terrified about getting stuck in a Taliban controlled country. The primitives will believe without question when it is leftists wailing in terror about voter ID laws or global warming but they think that these Afgans are faking it.
President Biden could commission a work of art from contemporary master Hunter Biden to convince the doubtful DUmmies--something to raise awareness about the barbarity and terror of war. Something similar to what Pablo Picasso did with Guernica during the Spanish Civil War except with bubbles.
