Title: Well, that hurt
Post by: SSG Snuggle Bunny on August 16, 2021, 11:42:43 AM
America fleeing Kabul, someone tweets Afghanistan has now been liberated from a regime that mandates face coverings, destroys statues, and practices genital mutilation.

If people who voted for Biden don't feel really stupid right now, they may not have self-awareness at all (or they just don't care).

Literally what Biden unambiguously said would not happen is indeed happening.

Who in the hell pays ANY kind of attention what is puked up on Twitter?

It doesn't "hurt" if one can understand that Twitter is a complete and total shithole.

Now, if you want to use words that describe the situation, let's go with "humiliating" "embarrassing" "horrifying" and even "betraying". But "hurt?" **** that.

The Biden regime is what is being referenced in the tweet.

Frankly, I'm finding it hard to disagree with the sentiment that the Left is the moral equivalent of the Taliban.

Your interpretation, perhaps. Not mine. The term "regime" is used, which can go a long, long way -- not just Asterisk's puppetmasters. Lotsa people out there besides Gropey Joe and his sycophants mandating masks, vaccines, lockdowns. And the last time I checked, President Asterisk wasn't knocking statues down.

But my point is, Twitter is rife with shit like this. Is Twitter like a train wreck? Can't not watch it?

No argument from me on that.

His BLM thugs are.

His BLM thugs are.

You're trying to make it sound like Asterisk is some kind of leader.

He isn't.

The BLM thugs are rioting, destroying statues, and beating people up at the behest of their communist leaders. Slow Joe is a lot of things, including a liar, he's lazy, and he's a creepy pedophile-in-training along with being corrupt, but he's not smart enough to be a communist.

You really think I think Biden is in charge?

I'm simply telling you what my perspective is, based on your comments. You wrote:

That implies a number of things:

First, that you draw attention to BLM thugs and that they are somehow "his."

Second, that those same BLM thugs "follow" him and his diktats.

Yes, I'm splitting hairs here. Your position is that the original tweet referenced Asterisk's regime. I replied I didn't see it that way and I explained why.

My overarching point is, above all else, is that dragging Twitter shit over here to stink up the joint doesn't do any of us any good. You no doubt differ with that, and that's your prerogative.

Last time I checked, CC isn't an echo chamber. Twitter stinks, especially when that shit is dragged over here.

I think you lost the plot, man.

The tweet was about mask mandates, BLM tearing down statues, and the damage done by people trying to make kids go transgendered be comparable to the Taliban. All promulgated by the regime apparatchiks surrounding the figurehead of Biden.

It's a valid comparison. The fact such things can be legitimately said about America, hurts.

I didn't want to get into a long-winded dissection because that kills the humor.

Sorry, but I don't share your blanket revulsion of of Twatter, because I know there are some good conservatives still there fighting the good fight. Are they outnumbered and hunted? Sure, but I'm somewhat surprised at the totality of your rejection. That's unfortunate because I will, in all likelihood, continue to drag over posts from Twatter, both conservative and filthy godless communist because good ideas are good, and the forum harvests the Left's evil to see it properly ridiculed and archived.

I think you lost the plot, man.

I lost nothing. You, on the other hand, assume much.

Yeah, right. In your world.

Of course it's valid when you bring it up. Why else do it?  :lmao:

I saw nothing humorous in that Twat. No doubt you did.

Of course. The totality of my rejection is based on the fact that you, and others, drag that shit over here. Here's an idea -- just like the DUmmy forum, in which I do not participate for exactly the same reason we're discussing here (it's stupid), how about setting up another sub-forum just for Twitter shit?

You'll likely not react well to that idea, but there it is.

Trying to make a positive out of a completely stupid OP -- in my opinion.

I'll consider adding a Twitter trigger warning to the thread title.

Maybe I'll call it a Twigger Warning.
