A group of moderate House Democrats is threatening to torpedo their party's $3.5 trillion spending plan unless House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brings the bipartisan infrastructure bill for a vote first – an act of direct defiance to the speaker and a bold exertion of power with Democrats holding just a slim majority in the chamber.

6 of the 9 are in purple districts so the dems can't afford to put up a rabid lefty in the general or they'll lose. The interesting one to me is Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5). He's part of another group of dems who want the SALT cap from the 2017 tax bill repealed.

Sorry, but I'm not buying the "moderate" House reps moniker, especially when associated with the likes of Henry Cuellar.
In this day and age, there is no such thing as a "moderate" Democrat. They are all suspect of being full-blown leftists.

'Moderate Dim'Rat' carries much of the same connotation - and mental gymnastics - as the term moderate muslim, as currently used.
