I've been pretty despondent since the "election". I've avoid people, social media, etc. So I have to ask... Is Trump going to be our guy in 2024, or are we switching tactics to someone like Cruz or Crenshaw, or someone else?
I love Trump and I'd love to see him make the greatest comeback of all time, but honestly I'm just concerned with taking back our country, and I don't give a damn who it is. As long as we can get it done.
Anyone have any input on this?

Unless and until we can get our election integrity fixed, I’m not worried about the candidate at this point. Several good ones are out there though.

I agree with you on that. I will support my choice for the primary, and then I will absolutely support whoever gets the nod in the general. Our days of having the luxury of writing people in are long gone.

Lots of whispers about Trump in 2024, and he's dropped a few not-so-subtle hints. And he's flat-out answered the question, "Have you made a decision?" To which his answer was, yes, he had made a decision. And chose not to reveal it.
My personal opinion is he will not run. He'll be 74 years old and, by all accounts he's got his marbles in a lot better shape than President *, but the relentless attack on him by his own administration (DOJ, FBI, CIA) left him determined, focused, angry, and....
....tired.
He looks better now than he did when he was in the middle of the Swamp fighting off the moccasins and the copperheads.
I think as long as he has a voice (endorsements, principally, and the ability to spout his opinion through social media), he'll be the focus of many conservatives and he won't want or need the presidency. He liked it when he had it, and he's balls-deep in the fact that the election was stolen from him, but I think by the time it's campaign season, he'll decline. He'll have his Trump rallies for the Republican party (that's where his massive ego is stroked big-time) and he'll have his press releases. The only thing he won't have is a back-stabbing administration/cabinet that is determined to see him fail.
The RINO elite class has faded to obscurity, but you can't really tell because the Cheneys and the Kinzingers are still sucking up to the Dems and the cameras. Romney could very well be primaried in Utah; Grassley's too old to do much but wobble, and don't get me started about McConnell.

Honestly I'm more concerned about the recall election here in California (Larry Elder FTW) than a Presidential campaign 3 years in the future. It will all shake out and I will vote for the person who I think will be the best for America. Will it be Trump? Who knows at this point. It's just too soon to tell.

That's a fair point. Right now, I'm a lot more concerned about the midterms next year than anything else.

The specter of another stolen election should be foremost in our minds. I refuse to believe that the system is fixed.

And my Spidey-sense is that pushing everyone into lockdowns and mask theater after we've reached 500 days to "slow the spread" is part of the left's solution to continue allowing 24 hour, drive-thru voting for 100 days other than the actual day of the elections.

Nailed it.

I tend to think it'll be Trump... and I'd wouldn't be overly surprised if the ticket says: Trump/Pence.
Because that's how Trump is. Pence comes prepackaged in kevlar. -Removes the speculation about 'the voices' in a new Trump Administration. Nobody wants a hot, new VP who vanishes into the woodwork.

Yep, keep the masses terrified of this:

And keep the numbers up by dispersing untested, unvaccinated illegals to a town near you.

I have no idea if Trump will really run. Although I have been a strong supporter since he came down the escalator, I sincerely believe that he's the only Republican who can withstand the slings and arrows and win a general election.
I also believe that he has learned his lesson from the first term. Unleashed from any re-election concerned I believe he will avoid nominating career beltway politicians and clean house at DOJ, DOD, State, CIA, NSA etc. with his trademarked phrase "you're fired".
Cruz or DeSantis will have good intentions but will try to keep their favorability ratings up and avoid controversy.
Just my 2 cents.

Funny how NOTHING is more important than stopping covid. NOTHING. Lose your rights? That's okay. It's covid, and we need to be safe. Lose your job and your home? That's fine. No groceries? Doesn't matter. Covid is all-important. We MUST do ANYTHING to stop Covid. Period, end of story, that's all there is to it.
Oh, wait.... stop immigration because they're contributing to covid? Oh, we can't do that... that would be racist.
Wait, shut down an abortion clinic? Can't do that, women need their "rights" to kill children.
Protest a liberal cause? Sorry, Covid can't interfere with the first amendment....
The hypocrisy on the left never ends, it never slows down, and it never changes. It disgusts me. It literally makes me physically ill to even contemplate.

The optimist in me says Americans won't tolerate much more of this lockdown crap, which gives dems the excuse for special voting measures. Democratic party sycophants, sure, but most will not, certainly not through November of next year.
