A grim Independence Day weekend in Chicago was marred by violence, with nearly 90 people shot
Nearly 90 people have been shot in Chicago since the beginning of the long Independence Day weekend, including two police officers; a 6-year-old girl and her mother; and a group of six people early Monday in the Washington Park neighborhood.
In all, at least 89 people have been struck by gunfire since Friday afternoon, 15 of whom died of their injuries, according to police.

A city out of control.
It's all those white supremacists

2. Nation, rather than city out of control.
Look at the the entire board. Play the entire board.
(but I can easily understand with the obvious desire to focus on Chicago only... the totality would upset the specific)
By all means, lets look at the blue city shitholes across the entire board!
More than 17,000 people in the US have died so far in 2021 from gun-related violence.
The US is on track to have more shootings in 2021 than any recent year on record.

5. It's mostly the cities. The suburbs, small town and rural areas are pretty peaceful.

7. It's mainly the guns that come in from those areas.
Chicago’s biggest problem is Indiana, followed by other red states with horrible gun laws.

9. Chicago has strict gun laws. Are they enforced? Does possession of a illegal gun result in hard time
There are teraHertz wave radars that can detect guns under clothing. Are they being used?

15. Ask the state of Illinois and city of Chicago.
That’s their department.

6. Maybe the police need more training. Let's give them some more money and see what happens!

8. Most of these are drive-by shootings.
It's not like people getting shot during an altercation or during another crime like a robbery.
This looks like senseless random violence.
Why in the world would someone drive by a park or a house and open fire at multiple people, including children?
What defense is there against this type of madness?

10. Is this a gang issue?
If so, maybe some kind of truce could be negotiated? Just grasping at straws here. I feel terrible for the citizens having to live among this death and destruction.

12. This 4th was Guns across America!
Stunning to know that there are more guns in America than people, more MAGAs than tax-payers.
:whatever:

How come Indiana and the other red states with horrible gun laws don't have the same problems or worse?

But you want to dictate what happens in Indiana and other red states.

1 Yes, in the sense that background checks are required and done for legal gun purchases. But no, in the sense that thugs steal or buy stolen guns. Criminals, by definition, don't obey laws.
2 So, is DUmmie Klaralven proposing herding every person in Chicago through one of these devices every day or week? :thatsright: :rotf: What about homes where guns could be hidden? Search every home in Chicago with one of these devices every day or week? :thatsright: :rotf: Or is DUmmie Klaralven proposing having these devices every half mile or so on sidewalks so pedestrians have to walk through them? :thatsright: :rotf: The equipment cost would be massive :thatsright: :rotf: , and thug-wannabes would just drive by, undetected. :rotf: :thatsright:
There are times when "DUmmie" and "DU-Moron" significantly understate the DU-member's stupidity. This is one such.

How DUmmies see the world:
"Hey Bo! Look at this AR 15 Assault Rifle I bought in Gary last night. Indiana's gun laws are too lax so let's go to the blackest part of nearby Chicago with all those great gun restriction laws and try it out by shooting random people!"
