Boycott Toyota

It’s bad enough that Toyota has a troubling history, from union busting to moving their headquarters to a state that’s hostile to women and the LGBTQ community.

Now, it’s been revealed that Toyota has donated to Congressional republicans who voted AGAINST certifying the 2020 election results.

The left needs to stop buying Toyota vehicles. Sure, their hybrid vehicles get good gas mileage, but we can’t ignore the other shady stuff they do when we’re not looking. Supporting fascism should be the last straw.

Boycott Toyota. Buy Union.

3. I bought a new car once in the mid 'eighties when I was young and full of myself.

It's not likely I'll ever do that again.

The last car I bought cost $900 and maybe $400 in repairs I did myself.

My car manufacturer boycotting powers are nil.

6. Maybe

I wish I could! If you can show me a SUV that has the reliability and the aftermarket support for offroading that my 2020 4Runner TRD Pro I would consider. A supercharger is a must!! I looked at the competition and it’s all dogshit compared to my 4Runner.

18. Boycott the most reliable car company ever? No, just no

No other company even comes close to the insane levels of reliability Toyota cars have.

20. Didn't just donate to the insurrectionist Republicans, they doubled down after being called on it.

...and donated more.

32. I've never considered the politics of a car company when purchasing a vehicle.

I buy whichever car appeals to me most at the time.

 O-)

This is funny, all the libs I know at one time owned the Prius.

Must be painful for the libs to know they indirectly contributed to republicans.  :-)

I'm having fantasy images of Proggies shooting or taking a sledge hammer to their precious Priuses (Priae?), causing a fire by damaging the lithium battery, and burning down the homes. :rotf:

Did any of the DUmmies take the time to investigate which politicians Toyota donated to?  My guess is you will politicians who are fiercely anti Trump as well as proTrump politicians.

Large corporations do this all the time.  They cover all the bases by donating to any politician who they think may be a "friend" to them at a later time.

But I do find it amusing to watch them get so worked up over this matter.

I would be more concerned about the free trade zone status that Toyota and the rest enjoy. It used to give them a $3000 advantage over the domestics ( not including union liability) which is huge when building cars
