Red Hats are a trigger for me I guess.

Was on back on Twitter a little bit ago and saw a picture of a red hat and click on it to read the article. I was ready to fight with some trumpers.

Good thing I did and not just blow up. It was a baseball story.

1. I don't know that I will live long enough to no longer cringe seeing a red hat. So, what to do

with my (once favorite) bright red NorthFace hat that used to be my hiking go-to?

Sigh. RW destroys everything.

7. Same here

I think the 4th of July will be a trigger point.
Watching the parade and fireworks with my liberal family. I will be surrounded by proud liberals.

I expect to see stars and stripes, and red white and blue hats.
Hopefully not many magat hats. I will be doing festivities in a liberal area .

I will do my best to enjoy myself despite my triggers and disgust.

There's going to be delicious cookout food.

I love fireworks.
And tasty food.

3. I've got a red hat

Someone gave it to me. It looks like a MAGA hat. But if you read it, the print says, "Made You Look, Black Lives Matter". I have to admit I don't wear it much because I don't want to be miss understood. I wear it to punk friends. They ultimately giggle.

And yes I totally get it! To fight or not to fight?

I see one and I'm ready to fight. doctors want me to relax. How can I I when I get triggered by a hat?

8. I refuse to give up the color red just because certain despicable people wear hats with MAGA on them

or TRUMP on a red baseball type cap.

I love all shades of red from coral to pink to vivid orange to flag red on into oranges and maroon. We can't let tRump steal a popular color for all time.

9. I did not wear anything red from Nov 2019...

...to Jan 20 2021.

13. And I was just about to try wearing my red hat...

I bought it sometime before TFG went down the escalator. It is solid red, with a gold USMC emblem on the front.

It's been hanging on my door, unworn since 2016. Was thinking of breaking it out, finally. Maybe I'll wait a bit longer.

LOL! Several months ago I bought a very (plain) red Headsweats hat (runners' gear) just to see how many hyper-sensitive Proggies there are out there running the trails I use. No dirty looks or confrontational idiots so far. Looks like I'll be doing a fairly popular running event in a month or so, but I think the Libs and Progs among the participants are too busy and too smart to worry about hat colors.

How in Hades could Star Moron Lady Freedom Returns not have heard of the Cincinnati Reds?!

You can't.  Your leftist philosophy ensures that the tiniest thing you encounter in the real world that is outside your worldview will cause you to go into paroxysms of seething and impotent rage.

If you are reading this lfr, better to leave this life rather than allow it to continue to operate differently than you would like.  Or move to North Korea - that is pretty close to your paradise.

Either decision benefits the USA and the world.

Step 1: Realize that an unadorned hat is an article of clothing, not a political statement. Getting new eyeglasses might help with this.

Step 2: Realize that red is a primary color, not a political statement.

Step 3: If you find you can't handle someone wearing a red cap remember it's down the road, not across the street.

Wait, I thought leftists objected to the use of the word "trigger" for things that aren't really traumatic.

That Trump isn't and won't ever be in prison is traumatic for DU-grade Proggies. :rotf: If they could they'd try to have a modern Corpse Synod. :rotf:

Even with a predominantly lib crowd tomorrow night, I'm going to announce that tonight's show will be brought to you from the cockpit of trivia.  Only that 1% of woketards on Twitter really obsess over this crap, and otherwise no one really cares.

Walgreens has a red nose campaign. I thought for the longest time it was some big push for selling cheap alcohol.

Exactly. I'll be wearing my red Headsweats hat at that event next month. I'm sure 2/3-3/4 of folks there are in the Lib-Prog spectrum, but I don't think the hat will get a single double-take. Of course, many are acquaintances/friends, so I'll probably get a couple of, "You're still alive?" double-takes.

There haven't been live in-venue running events in the SF Bay Area since late February or early March 2020. The first I know of, sort of in the Bay Area, was last weekend in Santa Cruz. Many other states and CA counties have been less stupid.

Good for you!  It is a good thing to actually go out and mingle with real people, regardless of their political ideology.  While you are a touch older than myself and perhaps feel the need to take more precautions, I'm not quite at that level of worrying about health quite yet having just hit the 51 mark on the odometer.

Now, I definitely micro and macro aggressed last night with those Brandeis University banned phrases last night.  When I do my opening spiel, most regulars tune the instructions out because they know them by heart.  But I'll sprinkle in a word or several to make people chuckle.  A few nuggets that I tossed out (whether people paid attention, I have no idea):

I'm your captain of trivia here in the cockpit of trivia

As a rule of thumb, I don't grade on spelling mistakes as long as I get the gist of what you wrote down as an answer.

When a team won a particular round and the overall prize, several times I said that they "killed it" in that on Round 3.

And a couple of groups who hadn't been there in a while, I used the triggering phrase "hey, long time no see!".
