Remember when we heard that he was really disappointed
that others weren't as excited as he was during the invasion of Congress/attempted coup. Well now, contrary to his statement that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not be arrested, there are three criminal investigations on the way.
That stupid grin has been wiped of his ugly face. He is history.
Don't give them an inch Dems - keep the crimes of the insurrectionist in chief and his tools front and center.
Now get the Select Committee going RFN!

1. Following semi-deep reflective thought, one is left with a sick sensation
when hits the reality of the entity that was allowed to have a presence in the highest office of our land.

2. That is the most frightening part of it all
and yet it looks like the promised tax details have come back to haunt him.
How did this monster become president?

10. He stole more than 4 years from us
Think about it, how many years will this litigation take? I'll bet we'll still be talking about Chump for the next 4 or 5 years until he's finally put away in prison - or dead.
All the evil that was done during his lousy one term will take at least 10 years of hard work to undo and reset. Some of it can't be undone - 500,000 Americans died needlessly of a dangerous virus and he took no precautions. He ignored all the warnings.
I hope our grandchildren outlive the bad memory of Chump, because I know none of us will.

4. Democrats have allowed Republicans to put their fingerprints all over it
That's the benefit of proceeding at a slow, measured pace, which has been and continues to be a point of criticism Democrats level at our party leaders.

7. I loved it when Michael Cohen
last night said that MF45 is going to flip on Ivanka, Eric, Don Jr. and Melania if need be. It's what MF45 did, he put his kids in charge of criminal enterprises to keep himself out of legal jeopardy.
I really really anticipate those mug shots.
My favorite law suit is E. Jeanne Carroll's. MF45 still has to provide his DNA sample.

6. Republicans didn't even try for a bipartisan
commission for Benghazi, they went straight to select committees. 2 i/2 years and 33 hearings, spent millions, with the result of no wrong doing.
Speaker Pelosi will have to wait for the Senate to vote down the commission before she goes for the select committee.
The more I think about it, the GQP made a mistake not voting for the bipartisan commission because they had equal rights with Democrats. Since everything is political with them they can't vote for the commission because it will pizz off MF45 and the base. What a pathetic bunch of losers. GQP Reps do nothing but fund beg for money, lie, and introduce bills written by the Heritage Foundation.

15. Well said
By the way the Heritage Foundation is a hate group

11. It's a race between NYC and SDNY over who indicts him first. I'm thinking sometime around Sept.
They will wait until next year- during the 2022 election cycle... then 'leaks' will be released every week.

16. I heard this morning late summer.
Trump is not safe in New Jersey. Governor said so.

18. I hope that you are correct. But I think that his many personality disorders are so profound
that he believes himself invincible. As Mary Trump said, he has never faced consequences for his actions.
Because I am such a nasty woman, I would LOVE to see him in handcuffs, with tears streaming down his face.

21. That's why they need a Commission...
So they can find the answer to that question.
They could subpoena those in the Oval Office to testify on his state of mind on that day.
Star Member malaise (229,221 posts)
22. They can do that with a Select Committee - ask Hillary Clinton
Star Member kentuck (101,613 posts)
25. No doubt it would be very political and very partisan.
A Commission would be better but Democrats may have no choice. Maybe they could subpoena Donald Trump to come before their Committee? Of course, he would refuse. What would be their recourse if that happened?

It's gonna have 5 Ds and 5Rs. It doesn't matter who the Ds are, the question is WHO selects the 5 Rs. Even 2 or 3 Establishment RINOs will turn this into a neverending propaganda platform. If the senate republicans do not block this it's not going to end well. I am NOT hopeful.

Just like frog marching Karl Rove out of the White House during the President George W. Bush two terms?
Anyone remember Fitzmas?
A masturbatory fantasy only. No one is "flipping", as there were no crimes and nothing to fess up to.
