I hope Palin is keeping the bunnies at bay in Alaska and allowing ptarmigans to expand and reclaim their land.

the ptarmigan is the state bird there... don't know about the snowshoe hare though...

As far as I am concerned, this is an act of brilliance on McCain's part.   As I didn't expect any acts of brilliance from John McCain, it makes it doubly delightful.

From what very little I have seen of her, she is a huge winner.  She is good enough to get me into the tent.   I don't know how much she will be able to bring to the table were they to win.  McCain doesn't seem to listen to anybody, so if he listens to her, it is a plus.

And she seems to be very much the anti Biden.   Obama seems to have chosen just a paler version of himself... an empty suit with anger issues and a questionable past.

So this is all good.  And speaking from my neanderthal side, I have to admit that the fact she is the hottest looking female politician I have seen this side of Condolezza Rice is a plus too.

Snowshoe hare is not the state animal of Alaska period.
