There is literally a pro-2A group called, "National African American Gun Association" or NAAGA, for short.

Side note: The article lists Michigan among states requiring a license to purchase.

This was done away with some time ago.

I purchased one a couple of years ago with the (still annoying) 4473 being the only article of government paperwork required.  There was also a NICS check.

Of course I'd be glad to return to the halcyon days of mail-order or over-the-counter purchases...
