I deal with a lot of Latin names at work.

Microsoft ALWAYS wants to capitalize canadensis and americana, even when they're NOT supposed to be capitalized.

mexicana?

NEVER gets automatically capitalized.

 At least the Spanish-language version a couple of years ago was. If you looked-up the word "homosexual" in the built-in thesaurus, the suggested synonyms were along the lines of "deviant," "pervert," "molester." Lovely, eh?

Fortunately, that got changed pretty quickly after the news got out.

11. At one point they had "Indian" and "savage" as synonyms in their thesaurus.
 After that was publicized they took it out.

soon, all the 'bad' words will be removed...
