That's pretty interesting.  I saw a post at the DUmp the other day where they were poo poo'ing the uptick in Republican registrations by saying "Democrats registered more in 2018 for the blue wave, so now the Republicans are just now trying to catch up."

I don't think they realized that the uptick in Republican registrations could also mean a CHANGE from Democrat to Republican.  That graphic would probably make a bunch of them 'weep'.

I think your analysis is confirmed by the substantial uptick in Independent registrations.

If it was just the GOP catching up the Independent needle would not be moved.
