BREAKING: Trump is abusing his office to pardon a black man during his RNC speech. This man deserves a pardon but Trump is only doing this to try and convince black people to vote for him. If that’s not obvious to you, you already drank the Kool-Aid.

On Tuesday, Republican President Donald Trump pardoned Jon Ponder, a former three-time convicted felon and founder of the post-prison re-entry organization Hope for Prisoners. The pardon came before Ponder's expected remarks at the 2020 Republican National Convention.

Was the guy who was pardoned one of those given an excessive sentence under that law Biden helped pass in the 1990s? If so, I can understand why DUpipo would hate this. As for the dramatic timing, well, too damn bad. :rotf:

Trump also gave a full pardon to Jon D. Ponder, a three-time offender convicted on felony charges, including bank robbery. He came out of prison a born again Christian and now runs a program to help other ex-convicts begin a new life. The FBI agent who arrested him was present, too, and both men spoke after Trump did. Ponder and the FBI agent are now best friends. It was a feel-good story about redemption and returning to the outside world to serve others.
Something DUpipo may not know is that Ponder served his sentence. So the main practical effect of this pardon is to remove whatever limitations being an ex-con imposed on his personal ministry.

Oh that's a double whammy for the DUmmies, President Trump helped someone who happens to be non-white and it also helps his ministry. Anything that may promote a ministry, is like acid to the DUmmies.
