BRISTOW, Okla. — DEVELOPING STORY:
A worker jumped to his death from an oil rig Wednesday after an explosion rocked a Tulsa-area oil field.
At least two others were badly burned in the fire that broke out after the accident.
Workers apparently were pumping cement into a hole when oil and gas shot back up from the ground and ignited, setting off a large explosion Wednesday morning, according to emergency officials.
The fire was put out and no evacuations were needed.

Sad event. We forget sometimes how the oil fields can be very dangerous places. We really do owe the guys and gals who do this frontline work our respect and admiration.
