Supreme Court approves Trump plan to limit Obamacare contraceptive coverage
Source: NBC
The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday cleared the way for the Trump administration to give the nation's employers more leeway in refusing to provide free birth control for their workers.
The ruling was victory for the administration's plan to greatly expand the kinds of employers who can cite religious or moral objections in declining to include contraceptives in their health care plans. Up to 126,000 women nationwide would lose birth control coverage under the plan, the government estimated. Planned Parenthood said nearly nine in 10 women seek contraceptive care of some kind during their lifetimes.
Since Congress passed Obamacare in 2010, the issue of which employers can decline offer contraceptive coverage has remained highly controversial.
Houses of worship and their auxiliaries were originally given an exemption, and a later rule allowed some non-profit religiously affiliated employers an accommodation: They could opt out of directly providing the coverage, as long as they gave notice of their objection. Their insurer or the government would then pick up the cost of the coverage.

I don't think I've ever seen a more biased article, and that's saying a LOT. First, the Little Sisters of the Poor have been fighting this infringement of their First Amendment rights since long before Trump became president. This article makes it sound like something Trump pulled out of thin air 3.5 years ago. Second, nothing, nothing at all, will prevent those 126,000 women from figuring out a different way to get birth control. This is just over who will pay for it. This is one more battle in the left's fight to destroy religion, and they lost this one.

2. Why can't we use this twisted logic to advance gun controls?
Um, what?

3. 7-2!?
WTF Breyer and Kagen?
I have a simple solution, decent people should seek other employment than working for religious psychos.
Well, that's one solution. Another would be to buy their own birth control. Problem easily solved.

Why in Hades should I pay higher insurance rates to subsidize some female's planned promiscuity? Or some male's tomcatting around?

Have you ever noticed when the Supreme Court rules against something they believe in a over whelming majority in the case 7 to 2. They never publishes the actual results or liberal justices names and if so it will be in the last paragraph of the story. Another example of the news trying to frame the thinking of the sheep instead of just reporting the facts of the story.

The decision was 7-2, which means two liberal justices - Breyer and Kagan - were part of the majority.
The Little Sisters filed their suit in 2013. The USSC granted an injunction in 2014 suspending penalties while the case made its way through the courts. In 2016 the USSC overturned lower courts' rulings against the Little Sisters. The 2017 HHS rule simply codified what the USSC found in 2016.
DUmmies hating on religious freedom is utterly unsurprising.

THe real headline should be: SCOTUS affirms the First Amendment.
