odd the The BarackStar!'s nominating convention has been all about the clintons so far . . . .
-
Question for whoever wishes to comment:
I keep reading that several of the Hillary delegate contingency isn't going to go to the Obama speech at Mile High Stadium (or whatever it is now). Even Billy boy is staying away. They claim is the reason Obamassiah did this was because Kennedy did the same thing at the Coliseum in LA back in 1960, so they want that theme of him being the next JFK. But I have to wonder if part of the reason they wanted to move the venue was because several of the delegates were packing up and going home after tonight's rollcall and the lower attendance would be noticable.
.

interesting question. but I have to assume that if you can fill up mile high stadium, you can fill up the pepsi center.
I have wondered how they would change venues on thursday night from activity at the convention center to mile high stadium. the logistics would be so difficult, that I suppose they will just abandon the pepsi center for all of thursday's activities and just convene at the stadium.
and I didn't realize that JFK delivered his acceptance speech from a stadium until I read it as an aside in another story last night. another cheap ripoff.
-
Have you all heard yet that Teh Obamessiah will have Bruce Springsteen at Invesco Field to warm up the crowd for him on Thursday?
-
interesting question. but I have to assume that if you can fill up mile high stadium, you can fill up the pepsi center.
That was my first though, too, but I thought the stadium thing was the theme of "The Obamassiah is open to the common man" whereas the convention is just for the delegates. And I'm sure if they had held it in the convention center and they had word that enough Hillary delagates had left they would pull people off the streets to fill in the holes.
I'm just confident that out in the heartland of America, the Hillary supports aren't going "Well, she said to vote for Hussein, so I'll just go along." They're still mad and will remain mad.
.
-
I assume that biden will be in full blown attack mode tonight. we should turn our gaffe detectors on; if he strays one sentence from the speech, he's liable to blow both legs off.
and the cable news networks haven't been covering the early convention speeches thus far, only the primetime speech of the evening. I wonder if the MSM will snub the clenis . . .
-
LOL! I just noticed that the roll call is going on now . . . buried in the middle of the afternoon. where
NO ONE will see it. I wonder how they managed to tally the superdelegates in such a way that they didn't look
as brazenly undemocratic (in the sense of the form of government, not the political party) as they really are.
and california passed. probably because it would have put hillary ahead, and THAT would have made The BarackStar!
look bad. :whatever:
-
I forgot how comical roll call votes are at political conventions . . . "my state, home of the world's second largest ball of twine, and home of brittney spear's drunken manicurists, casts it's 5 votes for . . . . " :-)
the guy from mississippi did the math wrong, and cast 31 votes for obama and 8 votes for hillary. mississippi has 41 votes. :thatsright: :uhsure:
-
I got home just a few minutes ago. Hillary's up to give all the New York delegates to Obama. And to suspend the roll call and call for nomination of Obama by acclamation.
-

yes, as a final indignity, they made her officially move that he be nominated by acclamation. I am sure that she is going back to her hotel suite and beat huma.
-
So that was the deal...the Clintonoids got to get up and vent and have their say...and for being able to do that Her Thighness had to release the Delegates and nominate Brock in a show of *cough* party unity.
-
when jon corzine cast new jersey's votes, he said that obama was going to "change the country and inspire the world".

some texas delegate is in hysterics, and says that barack obama is now the president of the united states. I think she is missing a step.
-
why is everyone at the convention crying? :-) they really shouldn't put these poor people on television; they aren't making any sense at all.
-

I thought it was Schmucky Schumer up there bleating that crap

I thought it was Schmucky Schumer up there bleating that crap
PMSNBC had a camera down on the floor, and was interviewing delegates. well, they asked sobbing people questions, who sobbed unintelilgible answers back. it wasn't pretty.

Yeah I saw that too. You gotta remember, us wimmens are emotional and it only takes 1 starting to cry to get us all going. LOL!

I can't imagine you saying "i'm not a serviceman but i want them home .. . . and i want our teachers to be paid . . . and I want people to have doctors", no matter what sort of emotional trauma you may have just suffered. :-)
chris matthews is comparing the obama nomination to something or other desmond tut. he has lost it, too. :whatever:
-
Yeah I saw that too. You gotta remember, us wimmens are emotional and it only takes 1 starting to cry to get us all going. LOL!
But normally it happens for a good reason or because something important has happened.
-
on a side note folks. They just showed Ray Nagin sitting in Denver talking with Wolf Blitzer. Gustav is aime right at New Orleans! FCOL!
-
why is everyone at the convention crying? :-) they really shouldn't put these poor people on television; they aren't making any sense at all.
Buyers' remorse? :uhsure:

it's insane! those people think the election is a formality. they are convinced that he is as good as in.
-
they are like little parrots, we are unified, we are unified, we are unified.
-
it's insane! those people think the election is a formality. they are convinced that he is as good as in.
That's what they get for listening ONLY to the MSM and not thinking for themselves.
-
I give bill a 4. He went through the motions...but the emotion was missing.
Hillary couldn't crack a smile..her cheek to cheek grin from last night was gone and her closed mouth smile was phoney. Inside she was :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
-
Is the Impeached One's speech over?
You know, I never once said the past 16 years that the Impeached One is stupid; in fact, he's rather bright.
But probably the smartest thing he's doing is leaving right away, like rat jumping off a sinking ship.
Smart 'rat.
-
The DUmp monkies are FURIOUS because they played "Addicted To Love" whilst the clenis was on stage. :-)
-
what struck me was he started his spiel with the finger jab, the famous finger jab and said "I am here to support Barack Obama"
kinda like this time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgn2g4NKhZY&feature=related
-
DU is a miasma of HOLYCRAPWEROCKRETHUGSAREDOOOMEDARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! threads right now.
It should be fun when the bread and circus portion is over.
-
Obama will appear with Biden on stage tonight according to FoxNews.com Strategy Room.
Have I mentioned how excited I am to have High Speed Internet. I'm having a blast. :-)
-
Watch the Strategy Room on line for a funny MST3K-style commentary of Biden's speech. Not as funny, but better than just watching Biden bloviate.
-
I fell asleep during the clenis' speech. :-) honestly. did I miss anything?
-
I fell asleep during the clenis' speech. :-) honestly. did I miss anything?
lol, do you have the left wing talking points memorized?
-
I fell asleep during the clenis' speech. :-) honestly. did I miss anything?
I didn't watch it. I was having a belated birthday dinner with a friend at my favorite Mexican place.
-

I am sure the speech would give you worse indigestion.

I knew there was some kind of gas joke in there but I couldn't get the wording right.
Did you hear Biden's Freudian slip, "George McCain"? ::)
-
what did biden just say? I just caught "freudian slip! freudian slip!"
did he already screw up?
oh, and by the way, "barack obama 'gets it' just showed up in the speech. obama has been trying that line out all week. i thought it would be a new mantra.
-
excuse me, joe, but the people of chicago are among the most, if not THE most taxed people in the country.
-
all of this crap he is spewing about taxes is just wrong.
lol! "that's not change, that's more of the same". :whatever:
yeah, well this isn't a speech, it's a faggoty sing along.
-
"That's not change, that's still the same." The Strategy Room guys are having a blast with that. :lmao:
-
Biden keeps calling McCain his friend, just before he sticks it to him.
John McCain is my friend and I mean that. It's a friendship that goes beyond politics. But profoundly disagree with the direction John wants to go.
-
LOL! they are running on their strength to handle the problem in georgia, and act of overt aggression that The BarackStar!'s first reaction to was to urge both sides to "show restraint". mccain condemned the aggression as what it was.
LOLOL! get this !!! "john mccain was wrong, and barack obama was right?"
it's funny just to hear that in a foreign policy speech.
-
"remember when the world used to trust us?" how naive is that? no, how truly CHILDISH is that world view?
when did joe biden become a huge wussy?
-
here is the whole reason joe biden was put on the ticket, so that someone who may have a clue could insist over and over that barack obama is ready on foreign policy.
-
THE BARACKSTAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*SWOON*
-
Obama doesn't have a teleprompter obviously. :evillaugh:

that line of delusional crap, along with the people on the floor that were celebrating The BarackStar!'s "election" earlier tonight, has led me to conclude that the entire city of denver must be a reality distortion zone this week.

Obama had so many donors
He did well with geeks and with loners
And the journalists sighed
As they went for the ride
And tried hard to surpress all their boners.
From Elspeth at TOS.
Pretty awesome eh?
-
the phrase of the evening tonight has been "full throated", by the way. :whatever:

keith olbermann is cracking me up. something about "personally inflicted pain" by the evil republicans upon the defenseless republicans. I wonder how hostile he is going to be at the RNC . . .
and brokaw and the NBC types were just talking about gastav hitting during the GOP convention . . .
-
they are defending the temple of obama on msnbc now.
