and it wasn't an offensive question either.
The OP: Not part of the little squabble:

Cassidy says Interior will speed waiving of royalty fees for oil firms

The head of the Interior Department agreed to “quickly process” oil companies’ requests about royalty payments, according to a key Gulf Coast Republican.

Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy said he talked Tuesday with Interior Secretary David Bernhardt about protecting oil and gas jobs.

“He promised to quickly process targeted royalty relief on the outer continental shelf using existing law,” Cassidy said.

Waving royalty fees would be a multibillion-dollar windfall for the industry and also cut the federal and state governments out of revenue on the brink of a national recession. Royalties surpassed $7 billion in 2018.

1. it is only a $7B transfer of wealth from the working class to the

most profitable corporations in the world.

why stop there? pay them to take the damn oil and big bonuses if they spill it.

who do i vote for to stop this? it will pass by unanimous consent.

3. I fail to see where any of these royalties went to the working class.

Making stuff up again, rampartb?

4. the royalties were paid to states and to doe.

they are part of the budgets.

if the royalties do not make it into the treasury, the money must come from somewhere else. taxes now, or borrowing = taxes later.

the idea that these corporations want dree shit is preposterous.

8. Can't-back-up-his-own-words list for this one.

There you have it. Rampartb made the claim. I don't think just asking a question is all that offensive.
There is no record of taxes being raised on 'working people' to make up the short fall.
Some people just aren't meant for the wide world outside of DU where rhetoric is questioned.

Chalk this up to yet another example of, "question not a Lefty for he is your better."
