Oh f***! Top Republican fundraiser and Trump ally named postmaster general
Top Republican fundraiser and Trump ally named postmaster general, giving president new influence over Postal Service
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/top-republican-fundraiser-and-trump-ally-to-be-named-postmaster-general-giving-president-new-influence-over-postal-service-officials-say/2020/05/06/25cde93c-8fd4-11ea-8df0-ee33c3f5b0d6_story.html
A top donor to President Trump and the Republican National Committee will be named the new head of the Postal Service, putting a top ally of the president in charge of an agency where Trump has long pressed for major changes in how it handles its business.
The Postal Service’s Board of Governors confirmed late Wednesday that Louis DeJoy, a North Carolina businessman who is currently in charge of fundraising for the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, will serve as the new postmaster general.
The action will install a stalwart Trump ally to lead the Postal Service, which he has railed against for years, and likely move him closer than ever before to forcing the service to renegotiate its terms with companies and its own union workforce. Trump’s Treasury Department and the Postal Service are in the midst of a negotiation over a $10 billion line of credit approved as part of coronavirus legislation in March.
“Postal workers are the heart and soul of this institution, and I will be honored to work alongside them and their unions,” DeJoy, who will start June 15, said in a statement.
This scares the bejeezus outta me!

2. Isn't that
Isn't that always the case as per Carson, DeVoss, etc.? DeJoy and DeVoss, how funny.
We should expect it. The coup is going from slow-motion to instantaneous, play-by-play as we speak. It is an attempt to completely take over and it seems to be working.
Sounds like Federal Quid Pro Quo is the way things go from now on.
Anybody uncertain about what tRump is going to do before the General Election, and the GOP for that matter?
:whatever:
Louis DeJoy is the president of LDJ Global Strategies, LLC. Prior to founding LDJ Global Strategies, DeJoy was the chief executive officer of XPO Logistics’ supply chain business in the Americas. During that time, he grew the company from a small, regional operation to a leading U.S. provider of highly engineered, technology-driven contract logistics solutions employing over 10,000 people nationally. He was appointed to XPO’s Board of Directors after retiring from the company in December 2015.
DeJoy is a member of the Board of Trustees of Elon University, serves as Chair of the Business and Finance Committee and as a member of the Investment Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the PGA Wyndham Championship and the Board of Directors for The Fund for American Studies in Washington, DC and is a past member of the Board of Trustees for Moses Cone Health System in North Carolina. 5. Trump's days are numbered
They are rushing through as much of their agenda as possible before they have to start burning all the records and maps in the fireplaces at the Reichstag.

3. Have you noticed how fast the republican party is moving . . .
rushing confirmation of RW judges. Placing purity loyal supporters to key positions during a Pandemic and Nazis did the same thing during the 1918 Pandemic.

Uh, before Nixon reformed the postal service, it was ALWAYS a cabinet post awarded a political crony whose real purpose, undisguised, was to distribute party patronage.
Think John Kennedy and Lawrence O'Brien.
Because the post office generally wasn't a policy-making cabinet post, and the duties of the Postmaster General light, it was considered copacetic, okay, by both parties.

You DUmmies should protest by boycotting the U.S. Postal service for the rest of the year.
Of course this would put a kink in your plan to rig the upcoming election with mail in voting, but stick to your principles. show your outrage that the President once again made an appointment that got you morons all butt hurt.

I'm going to guess that either the WashPost buried the fact that DeJoy is in fact highly qualified for this position or simply omitted it.
