Oh my.
RATINGS FLASH: 10 PM ET/CONVENTION COVERAGE
NBC 4.85 MILLION
ABC 3.78 MILLION
CBS 3.52 MILLION
[8 PM NBC 'DEAL OR NO DEAL' 10.95 MILLION]
The above's from the Drudge Report, no link to any story.
And then there's this:

Democratic Convention Ratings Fall From 2004
The first night of the Democratic National Convention, featuring an address by Michelle Obama, drew fewer broadcast television viewers than the event four years ago, when former President Bill Clinton kicked things off.
ABC, CBS and NBC brought in 12.1 million viewers in the 10 p.m. hour, down one million from 2004, according to preliminary, fast-national data from Nielsen Media Research. NBC scored the largest audience.
It will be later in the day, when final broadcast and cable ratings come in, before it’s clear whether viewers opted to seek out the cable news networks offering blanket coverage, or whether it’s a sign of lower interest in the first night of the Democrats’ doings.

it may well be that a significant number of people that would have been disposed to watch the convention have been
super saturated by the extended primary season, and just aren't watching the thing. john kerry was the most insanely
boring politician in a generation or two. if the first night of The BarackStar!'s convention was less watched than john
kerry's, there must be something at work here.
but we'll see what happens on "super stadium speech" day.

I tried to watch yesterday. It was a non-event. Bunch of back-slapping and self-congratulations. It was a little much for a group of people that haven't managed to accomplish jack shit for about ten years.

Reality programs are popular. Democrat shows are not. Even a game show stage doesn't help.
-
With all the Democratic candidates during the primaries, they could have put them in one big house and made a contest out of it.
We probably would have gotten more reliable results that way.

I agree..and Nancy Pelosi's speech was just as irrevelant...her 'Obama is right and McCain is wrong' chant was ridiculous. No substance, just ranting and raving...ya know, the usual liberal lunatic garbage.

In all fairness the DNC is propably up against something like Babe Winklemans fishing spectacular reruns on PBS or something exciting like that.
-
bill o'reilly just called out CNN and MSNBC for being in the tank for obama, but then, bless his heart, he couldn't refrain from making it all about him. he finished the segment with something about his ratings killing the other two cable news networks. not the foxnews ratings, his ratings.

I saw that.
It was a hoot.
Hildabeast will be speaking soon.

I've already heard people around here say that they will be missing "The Super Stadium Speech" because they will be watching nc state at south carolina. I complimented them on their sound judgment. :-)

Democrat National Convention, you are the weakest link. Goodbye.
