Biased Journalism Is Gutting the #MeToo Movement
https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/04/biased-journalism-is-gutting-the-metoo-movement/
In October 2017, reporters publicized the stories of women who claimed to have been sexually harassed and assaulted by Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. Since then, our country has been in the grips of a reckoning. The outpouring of similar tales in the months following the Weinstein story seemed as if it would never end; every other day we heard about yet another celebrity accused of using his fame to mistreat the women around him.
It was the birth of a movement, #MeToo, which at its worst has been captured by those who insist we must believe every woman who claims to have been assaulted. For centuries, these advocates say, women’s stories have been disbelieved, and now it’s time to tip the balance of power and believe them all, no matter what.
But at its best, the #MeToo movement represented a promise, to men and women alike: Fear and raw power would no longer derail justice. For the first time, women — and, much less frequently, men — who had been abused would have society’s backing to tell their stories publicly and, if they presented enough evidence, to expect that the men responsible would face consequences.
MeToo is a giant farce.

Law professor says response to Biden allegation could signal 'end of MeToo' movement

Activists who have fought to change society's response to women coming forward with allegations of sexual assault have said former Senate aide Tara Reade's accusation against the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden presents a challenge, The Washington Post reports.
Many activists, the Post reports, want to ensure President Trump, who is the subject of multiple allegations of sexual assault and harassment himself, is defeated in November, but there is also concern that a lack of scrupulous investigation into Reade's claims against Biden — who has denied them — could be damaging to the movement overall. "I think that this could potentially be the end of MeToo," said Michele Dauber, a Stanford University law professor who heads the Enough is Enough Voter Project. "The failure to investigate, and the failure to live by our principles, will become silencing."
Joe Biden could be the downfall of MeToo.

#MeToo was created as another "tool" to use to take down Donald Trump. The Dems knew they were going to lose a lot of their own, but they (correctly) knew that their replacements would have been even more #woke than the people they replaced.
They were able to get one scalp: a senate seat that would normally go to a conservative Republican in Alabama. They waited for Roy Moore to get the GOP nomination before they put the hammer on him, allowing Dem Doug Jones into the chamber. On the other hand, Al Franken was replaced with someone who was even more radical than him.

Oh, yeah. Al Franken, the tit-grabber. Well, he posed in front of a sleeping female soldier on board an aircraft and "pretended" to grab her tits. And was stupid enough to be photographed doing so.
There are pockets of sanity in Minnesota, but they are too few to unseat the lunatics that run that state.
