Title: Tuesday.
Post by: asdf2231 on August 26, 2008, 01:10:21 PM
Yay!

Good sleep and the druggage seems to have the flu and the assorted bodily functions doing what they more or less should be doing.

Still feeling like someone beat me with a bag of nickles though.  :p

My daughter has her first high school volley ball game tomorrow and is in OMGWTFIMMAFAILUREDORK mode right now thinking she is going to suck.

Mancub is bouncing off the walls because one of his friends picked him to be her special tag along buddy at MOUNT OLYMPUS WATER PARK!!!!!!
(His emphisis, not mine, lol.) tomorrow for the entire day.

I'm looking at weather reports and wondering if I am going to be going back to Louisianna in the near future to do disaster recovery.  :o

Today was the first day of school.   I just spent the past hour and 15 minutes filling out the various forms, etc that the 3 kids brought home.  :banghead:

So far so good with  school.  Only 179 days to go!!

Today is my usual hell day at work for the month...statement day.

The cashiers were off on their stuff and I had to reconcile that account.

Now I've gotten all the statements printed and am rushing to get them folded and stuffed into the envelopes.  Oh and I have a paper cut on my left middle finger now.  :(

I'm leaving here at 4pm.  I gotta hit up Michael's for a skein of yarn to finish up a hat, which I have to finish tonight.  Then the grocery store to pick up supplies to make my most delicious carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

I feel for you, Flame. I finished that part on Friday.  :p

I'm exhausted. Started participating in group fitness again. Did a group fashioned after Latin dance and then a step class(I haven't done that in ages--I used to love step to the point I nearly taught it in my 20's). Between that and walking 8 miles in the past 2 days, my tootsies hurt and I'm tired in a good way. Taking a break tnight for a beer or two and tomorrow am too and then tomorrow night is a tai chi/yoga thingy. God I love group fitness. I missed it so.

Other then that, everyone is happy with school and my preschooler loves the play area at the gym and he starts preschool next week. I still have 2 weeks before school starts or me again after that. Oh and my petition to graduate has been submitted and approved. WOOT!

I think I'm sticking close to home tomorrow...done way too much running about the last couple of days.

My first official day of freedom as school started for the girls.  I spent it doing laundry, it had gotten seriously backed up ever since my brother died.  I was only doing it when someone ran out of towels, jeans/shorts or underwear.  I also finished up some thank you notes for people that did special things for my family since my brother died.  I also washed my sheets and put them back on my bed.  I LOVE sheet washing day.  I make my bed so tight and my sheets feel so good all clean and smelling of smelly goodness that I can't wait to go to bed tonight.  I'm also making spinach stuffed chicken tonight, it is wrapped in bacon and is so YUMMA.

My brother called (obviously the one who didn't die).  He pissed me off after about an hour of talking about himself (like he always does), he starting something about politics and taxes and I let him get to me.  I said I'm sorry if your life is a disappointment, it's not my husband's duty to pay for your lack of success and the stupid choices you have yourself admittedly made.  He said something about how he didn't feel sorry for someone like me (someone like me is a person with a nice house and nice "things") when I bitch about taxes and how I never knew what it is like to live on macaroni and tomato juice (it's good, trust me).

I got really pissed and told him to screw off that the first years of our marriage I ate spaghetti and butter for weeks on end and that I know what it is like to be POOR.  That at times after I bought diapers and formula for my son that there was often nothing left to buy groceries for my husband and me.  That when I had a stroke (I didn't have insurance) the hospital considered us INDIGENT and wrote off all but $1000 of the bill.  Even though we were "indigent" we still had to pay the doctors and it took YEARS to pay off these doctors.  I also noted it took us 10 years to pay off my husbands student loans and that unfortunately for me I didn't have the option to live with my mom or dad during those times, let alone when I was in my 40's like him.  Normally I don't let him get to me but today he set me off.  Then I feel bad after I say things like that to him.

BC, you have a way with words!

BEG sorry hon, I know it rattled you. I think you've earned the right to let things like that get to you though. You've been through a lot recently.

My mancub comes home tomorrow. I can't wait!!! I'l probably hug the stuffin' out of 'em and then embarrass him in front of the entire airport. :-) Mother's perogative.

BEG, I'm not nearly as nice as you and I would have gone off on him as well.  :)

I've run my errands, picked up the yarn and supplies to make the cupcakes.  Now, I'm taking a break for a few minutes before I wash dishes and then commence with the baking!

Home from work.  They made me stay an extra hour because they didn't schedule enough closers.  :censored:

Oh, well...that's one hour extra pay.   :cheersmate:

Sorry he made you so upset.

Still working on reports.....did 4 yesterday and have done 2 tonight and 1 more yet. Trying to get paperwork done for a closing in the next few days, and 2 evictions.

Supposed to leave for northern Ohio either sometime on Thursday or early Friday for my niece's wedding on Saturday. Depends if the title company can get the closing done either late tomorrow or Thursday, I'm not hopeful....

Rained off an on all day today....it was a beautiful thing!  :yahoo:

Miss having kids to get off to school....they were always so excited.....at least for the first couple of days. :-)
Youngest (27 in a few weeks) has started back to college out in Nebraska. He just got out of the Navy back in the spring. I'm really proud of him for going back...I was afraid he wouldn't.

BEG....you're allowed to get upset with him....sounds like he had it coming....I agree with Bad Cat.
